liftoff is truly my pride and joy. I remember the first time I tried lift off and I was apprehensive because it's kind of hard to park there. If you don't know that you can park behind the building, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ice cream and the price. In the summertime, you can wait at liftoff for a good amount of time, but in the winter months, you're in and you're out quickly. There isn't much space to sit inside, but if you're in a pinch, there's about five spaces to sit in. They do have around four lawn chairs outside in front of the building that are nice to use during the warmer months. They have a great rewards program and if sign up, they will send you rewards via text message. I recommend to anyone that lives downtown to try liftoff. this is by far the best ice cream place in downtown Indianapolis.

Cute little spot in the Herron-Morton neighborhood. I found parking in a nearby lot and there was no wait or line the day I visited this summer. My husband and I shared and ice cream and a shaved ice and both were tasty! The shaved ice was a little too icy/hard but otherwise we enjoyed it all and would likely stop by again next time we're in the neighborhood.

The yelp picture is very attractive, clean, bright, new. The reality is the store is dingy, not very bright and has a dingy dirty appearance. The ice cream tasted fine, the service was good. But the appearance of this place just threw me. Drove past it two times. The server did not fully seat my scoop of ice cream and much care was needed to not have it fall out of the cone.

A hidden away, cozy, little ice cream shop, Liftoff creamery takes ice cream to new heights! This aviation themed ice cream shop offers the classics, as well as vegan options (oat milk or sorbet base) and their signature seasonal flavors. They also run a foundation that helps the youth enter aviation programs. Service runs fast!I got...Raspberry chip cheesecake ice cream in a waffle cone ($3.99) A decadent scoop that tastes just like the transition from winter to spring!I found this ice cream shop through an event with Hot Walk Indy and Big Brothers Big Sisters Central Indiana. Can't wait to come back again!

Great new-ish ice cream place on 16th street! They have a TON of flavors. They all sound very good. I settled on Michigan pothole flavor, two scoops, and in a dish. It was delicious. Chocolate ice cream, peanut butter cups, brownie bits, and fudge. Two scoops was perfect for desert. This is a very sleek and modern interior and it is very clean! The staff were friendly and my service was very quick. My only complaint would be that I wish there was more seating. They opened in 2020, though. So back then that wasn't a priority and the ice cream is SSSOOO worth it.You need to try this if you are in the area!

Although there is limited seating, so many flavors to choose from and not just ice cream (milkshakes, boba soda, etc). The theme of aviation is really evident in the shop and in the names of the dessert choices, which added a fun touch! In particular, I thought the Moose tracks was good and had enough essence, but I'd want to try other ones! The milkshakes were spun so heavenly and required a spoon to enjoy at first.

Who doesn't love a good theme that is executed to perfection? The aviation thing is present throughout but not overdone. The Majestic Milky Way was phenomenal. It was a speciality flavor was a chocolate base mixed in with dark chocolate bits and sea salt. Whenever a piece of chocolate came in it was perfection! Not pictured were the massive scoops provided for their standard ice cream. I don't think I've got larger before. The Michigan Pothole is a 3 chocolate explosion made for anyone that needs all the chocolate in their life. The Load Factor to not be outdone, was just as fantastic with cookie dough in every bite. The service was great and friendly. They offered samples of several different flavors and easily answered any questions I had. Once the order was in it only took 1-2 minutes before I was out the door. There was a small sitting inside and out to wait or stick around to enjoy a nice treat. Everything was reasonably price, especially for the portion size you get! Overall it was a great experience and I would highly stopping by this small business to grab some of the best ice cream in the city!

This place rocks. My dad and I stumbled on this place after a lunch out in town. Ever since, I have been loyal to this ice cream shop. Nothing compares to the quality, flavor selection, and taste of their ice cream here. Each ice cream name is true to the name of things aviation related which is super fun and adds to the experience. My favorite flavor currently is the carrot cake but there are some honorable mentions like their banana cream pie. It's almost dangerous living so close to one of these! Be prepared to never want to visit another ice cream shop ever again.

Quite a few vegan flavors available. The cookie dough sundae with strawberry and marshmallow sauces was good. The cookies n cream was less creamy; it was just ok. Prices are very reasonable. The strawberry, marshmallow, mango, and chocolate (but not hot fudge) syrups are vegan.

This is hands down the best vegan mint chip I ever cream that I have ever tasted. It reminds me of a thin mint Girl Scout cookie. The shop is super cute also.
