I had my first visit to Lift Off Creamery on a Sunday. I was there right at open to meet a friend, so we had the place to ourselves for a while. Probably a good thing as the seating inside is very limited! I love that they have vegan ice cream flavors so dairy free friends like me can enjoy! I had the mint chocolate chip and it was pretty good. Not the best I've had, but still good! The portions were large and the price average. I'd like to try more of their vegan flavors--I just need to watch and make sure they're also gluten free. It's nice they offer grill items as well as the ice cream. One day, I'd like to try something for lunch as well.

Really great ice cream and tons of flavors to choose from, several vegan options as well. We didn't try and food but noticed they have a grill menu with lots of options. They have a drink cooler with fun sodas varieties including Coke products and Jones soda. Staff was very friendly and offered samples. There are a few tables inside to sit and enjoy your treat and free parking available nearby.

I'd always wanted to check out LiftOff Creamery & Grill. When it was announced they were opening a location in Irvington, I knew it would become much easier to make it happen. This location is in a strip center directly facing East Washington Street. The best parking is in a parking lot between two strip centers. There are two identified accessible parking spots, though they do not meet ADA. There's also some street parking around and a parking lot behind the building across the street. I'd be careful with residential parking as residents can get fussy (rightfully so). Much like their downtown location, this is a relatively small spot. There are a handful of small tables inside. You enter and you're essentially there - there's the counter to the left and the tables to the right. I will note that the current "amenities" section on Yelp indicates they are wheelchair accessible. I disagree - and I'm a very active wheelchair user. It's relatively close to accessible (and could easily be made accessible) - it's also better than a couple other spots in the building. However, the entrance has a very serious lip to it (seriously, I got stuck on it leaving) and the door itself is a bit heavy to open with the entrance being on a slight incline. Fortunately, an employee saw me struggling and came and got the door. It's doable, but not truly accessible and certainly not ADA. Once inside, everything is fine. I got inside and the simple decor was consistent with LiftOff's aviation them. It seemed like all, or close to all, of the flavors had an aviation name. I went for a single scoop of "Turbulence," or Oreo. LiftOff started with its downtown location in 2020. LiftOff is locally owned and operated. They offer 40-50 flavors at a time with around 120 different options. It's an ice cream shop after my own heart if you know my devotion to children and youth. The owner has a passion for both aviation and youth mentorship/entrepreneurship. They even support learning about opportunities in aviation through the National Aviation Youth Resources. It's truly quite awesome. The ice cream was good and under five bucks for a single scoop in a cup. The serving size was generous and the ice cream itself was quite tasty. It wasn't quite as chunky as I'm used to with Oreo, however, the blend was sublime. The employee helped me get out the door (when I got stuck). Overall, this was a very solid 4-star experience and I'll easily return when I'm in the Irvington area. While I don't think it's quite as accessible as noted, with some support/assistance it's doable and those with a strong upper body should be able to make it over the lip. If you do struggle, the employees are obviously paying attention and more than happy to assist.

Great customer service. I was greeted when I walked in. There were a lot of flavors to choose from. They also have vegan options. It wasn't even that expensive. Clean inside. Cute wall decor.

Visiting here confirmed that I am not a custard fan. It has a very specific texture that I don't care for. No stars deducted for that, because I know it's just a personal preference. The staff here are wonderful and they give you samples if you are undecided. They have SO many favors to choose from and can make all kinds of things with their ice cream. They also sell some food items as well.

After my lunch in the area, I decided to walk over to Lift Off for a sweet treat. I was warmly welcomed into the small ice cream shop by all of the staff. It is an aviation themed ice cream cafe so the decor was set to match along with the names of the ice cream flavors. There were a few tables to sit at however it was a nice day out so I took my treat to go. I ordered a small in a cup Tennessee Toffee which had a great taste and was filling.

I came here a few days ago for a little date night and had some delicious ice cream! This spot is not too far from the main action in downtown Irvington. The staff were friendly, attentive, and more than willing to give samples (especially since I can be so indecisive.) Next time I go, I will definitely get the ice cream flight! The aviation theme is all encompassing and I love how each flavor has something to do with planes and flight! I got the Theory of flight (Tennsessee Toffee) and it is probably one of my new favorite flavors. It was very balanced with the candy pieces and swirls of caramel that didn't take over the base flavor of the ice cream. The location is a little small with two tables and a little bar, but in the summer this is the perfect location to get some ice cream and take a stroll! This location sells a few drinks and sodas in addition to more local small business goods. When I went there were several flavors of cheesecake by the cheesecake lady! I hear they will soon will be selling more grill foods, so I am excited to come back and try that out!

Ice cream was melty in the display which was the first red flag. Customer service was ok not the best and not very helpful seems like they're rushing you and trying to get you in and out quick. Then just to find a hair in my ice cream at the end!! Didn't even bother for a refund I just left and will never ever come back!! So disappointing
