If you graded a park on the amount of visitors, this place would get an A. I came here in the middle of the day on a Thursday and this place was packed like it was a weekend. Granted it was 90 degrees and most people were using the splash pad. The park is not big, at only about 16 acres, but has a lot to offer. They have a more than adequate parking lot. The park features a nice restroom facility, 2 fenced in pickle-ball courts, a 9 hole disc golf course, a large patch of green space, a couple of playground areas and an awesome splash pad. The splash pad has a lot going on. There is a slide that drops off into a pad, a fixture that dumps water on you and a bunch or sprayers. There are also benches along the perimeter for littles to sit. The splash pad closes for the season on September 30th. The pickle ball courts are first come, first serve and are pretty nice. They are side by side and enclosed in a single fence. All the playground areas are pretty nice and have new/modern equipment. The playground area for smaller kids is closest to the splash pad and is on a mud free rubbery surface. The area's equipment includes: an expression swing, a wavy net climber, a nest saucer swing, a metal slide, pebble steppers, sit and spins, ropes, a bank of traditional swings, and a supernova spinner. You will find a row of benches on the outside perimeter of the area, that is shaded, and where caregivers can sit. Then there is another playground area that is tucked in the woods a bit and has a suspended pebble bridge, rock climbing hill, a net dome, and a rope ladder. It is really some exotic equipment and not a very big area. The third playground area is for bigger kids and features a huge jungle gym climbing tower with slides and bridges (it is very tall and hard to miss), a metal slide, a sit and spin, a net climber, another supernova spinner and a playground spinner and a swerving spindle playground spinner. There is a long row of benches on the area's perimeter, but they are not covered. It is you and the sun if you are sitting on these. As I have mentioned, it is all very nice equipment though and looks relatively new.As if that was not enough, the park has 2 nice sized shelters with picnic tables under them and a grill just outside of them. Just like the everything else at the park, the shelters are pretty nice too. This is definitely a destination park and has a lot to offer. I really like this park and by the number of people that were there when I was there, a lot of other people like it too. It is definitely worth a visit.

A cute park that sits off of the road (Main Street) in Carmel Indiana with covered seating for birthday parties, a tennis court and a splash pad.*There are restrooms located near the splash pad.*(Male, Female and Family)The park itself is pretty and spacious. There are swings, a jungle gym and slides. The park also has a tennis court with two tennis nets that has a fence around it. Disc golf is also available. Linktr.ee/GreenEyedLeo

This is a fun park for different age groups. The splash pad is extra fun and has the kiddos enjoying for hours. End the evening with pizza after spending the afternoon here and you have an easy fun day spent with your kids. We plan to bring our toddler back throughout the summer.

This is such a great park for the kids. There are multiple playgrounds/play areas where they can run and climb stuff. The highlight is a giant enclosed rope structure they can walk across and slide down at the end.

This park is amazing and it just got a major upgrade.First, it has a great splash pad area that is always full on a hot summer days. But Carmel Clay Parks and Rec just added three new playground areas that are ah-mazing. Benches with shade for parents, fun swings and slides for kids, etc. Take a look at the pictures and you'll see what I mean. This is definitely a family-friendly park. Not much else to to besides the splash pad and playground.

Awesome park for all ages! There are three different little playgrounds, as well as a splash pad, a walking trail, and a large field. The splash pad and one playground are suited for smaller kids, while the other two are definitely big kid climbers. This would be the perfect place to spend all day walking around, having a picnic, cooling off, and playing on the playground !

During a recent day off, I decided to head off into that foreign land of which I cannot afford called Carmel, Indiana, the place where the streets are paved with gold and stop lights have been replaced by roundabouts that are always good for at least one laugh as there's always at least one old codger trying desperately to figure out how they work. Seriously, Carmel is not, in fact, as materially obsessed as many believe (I'm lying). They actually take their green spaces seriously (because they attract rich people). They have an extensive trail system (because Mayor Brainard wants to keep the rich people alive as long as possible). Okay. Okay. I'll stop.Seriously, though, Lawrence W. Inlow Park is one of 16 defined parks within Carmel and at 16 acres is definitely one of the more middle-sized parks in the area. Named after Lawrence W. Inlow (I bet you figured that out, eh?), late chief counsel for Conseco (he was rich but a good dude), the park definitely targets younger kids but does so in a way that is super friendly to families in the neighborhood. The main feature of Inlow Park is its Splash Pad with an interactive fountain that will delight young kids, old kids, and old people who wish they were still kids. For this reason alone, Inlow Park is an easily recommended destination for those in the Carmel area. Other than the Splash Pad? It's a fairly traditional neighborhood park, though it does have an awesomely set playground area that is very wooded and surrounded by nature and looks very much like a treehouse - I will admit, however, that this particular "treehouse" type area is set back a bit from the main playground and sort of struck me as the kind of place where parents should accompany their children just to make sure it remains a safe experience. Additional features of Inlow Park include a disc golf course, which I would consider the primary feature that targets adults, along with a short trail, picnic tables, a bike rack, quality bathrooms, drinking fountains, lots of grass/green space, grills and a shelter. There's plenty of parking including accessible parking spots and appropriate curb cuts. The splash pad could be described as wheelchair friendly - it's accessible next to the shelter and there's accessible parking and a curb cut right in front of it. The playground areas are mostly wheelchair accessible, though the actual equipment would not be described as adaptive. As some of the Carmel parks can get quite packed, a park like Inlow has appeal as it's simply not big enough to attract the big crowds yet has some decent options for different ages. For those who prefer a quieter, more low-key experience Inlow Park is probably the preferred option rather than Carmel's larger and more well known parks. While I enjoy harassing Carmel, the truth is I have a lot of respect for their commitment to both building and maintaining quality parks, trails and greenways. This one's a definite gem.

This 16 acre park is located on the east side of Carmel on Main St, nestling back into a neighborhood. The front of the park has a lot of open space which turns out to be a mini disc golf course. It has only 9 holes and the distances are on the short side compared to other area parks. (Kid Sized?)The entry road has parking spaces all along the way as it bends around the splash park, the large shelter, and back towards the woods where a small playground tower is nestled in the trees. One side of the tower has wind chimes that vibrated along the rails of the tower while I was there. Nice touch! You could take a short hike through the woods, but because of the small size, you are within viewing distance of the nearby houses behind the park. If you are looking for hiking, I would suggest other parks would offer more enjoyment. The park seems to be well maintained and looks like a fun place for kids during the summer. Otherwise, it's kind of limited.Review #741
