My husband took me here for my birthday and it is my new favorite place! It is a cute and cozy Italian restaurant. We started off with a basket of their fresh baked bread and oil. We got the fungo ripieno for our appetizer which was a large mushroom LOADED with cheese. It was the perfect savory starter. Our meals both came with house salads. Our waitress recommended the peppercorn ranch and it was amazing! For my entree I got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. It was creamy, cheesy and had lots of sauce! The chicken was just alright in this dish. My husband got the Italian sausage special which was a large sausage over spaghetti and meat sauce. All of the portions were large and we had leftovers! I can't wait to come back to try more menu items.

Our service in this restaurant was excellent, our waitress was Taylor. We got there about 5:00 and they were not too busy yet and the atmosphere was a little quiet a little soft music playing in the background. It was pretty low lit in there. My husband and I had the spaghetti dinners and he added a side of meatballs. I ordered a stuffed mushroom as an appetizer and it was one big Portobello cap and it seemed to be stuffed mostly with ricotta. I wasn't a big fan of it it was okay. She also brought us a basket of bread with some dipping oil and herbs.A salad came with our spaghetti dinner, it was just regular iceberg lettuce and a few croutons and cheese. Our spaghetti came out it was nice and hot and we enjoyed it but it was nothing special. I also had a cocktail which was a triple chocolate truffle and yes it was very chocolatey. Everything was fine here but probably not some place we would go back to.

Cute restaurant, Unfortunately, plates they served the food on was cheap plastic which you could have gotten better plates from the dollar store! Food was by no means fresh! Seemed like it was reheated from being frozen! Definitely not freshly made. Referencing this as Italian food, this was at best like calling Taco Bell Authentic Mexican food! Who ever the chef was in the back, you could hear his loud mouth all the way through the restaurant into the dining room! Server was nice! Food was like cafeteria food at fine dining prices! Very Disappointed!

I have dined here a few times and will continue to return. The food is always high quality with plenty of different pasta variations to chose from. This evening I had the house salad with the homemade peppercorn ranch. The dressing is delicious and not overly peppercorn-y. The size of the salad is appropriate. We also enjoyed the complimentary bread, which comes with oil for dipping. For my main, I had the spaghetti pamadora. I thought it was very good! The restaurant itself is usually busy. I would expect a wait. It is nice inside, with low lighting, but I would expect for it to be a little noisy at high volume times. Additionally, checks are hand calculated, so I'd double check yours! Our's had an error that they quickly fixed.Overall, I recommend and will be back!

My wife and I visited yesterday evening, and overall had a great time.We came in around 7:30. We stood up at the host stand for around five minutes before anyone greeted us. There was a couple waitresses that came up to the host stand during that time- the first waitress ignored us, but the second waitress told us someone would be up to seat us soon. The host, whom I believe is the owner, sat us quickly. The waitress came and greeted us quickly. We got our waters and cocktail orders in quickly, but took her a while to come back to get our food orders- but we didn't mind too much since they looked busy. The place felt clean, and the bathroom was in good condition. Now food and drinks:-Sour Apple cocktail: overall good, nothing super overpowering about it, and packed a bunch for me-House salad: lettuce looked and tasted fresh, the homemade balsamic vinaigrette was also good (kinda confused me a little bit though since it was on the thicker side)Complimentary bread: great, warm when arrived to our table, dipping oil/herbs was a nice touch Filet : filet had a nice touch, I ordered it medium but it came out medium rare- but nothing to complain about really, had a nice flavor with the seasoning on itAlfredo: some of the best Alfredo I've ever had at an Italian restaurant and the overall highlight of my meal. One thing that bothered me when we were walking out the door was the lack of greeting from the owners. During our meal, the owners greeted the table next to us. When we were leaving, one of the owners looked directly at us as we were leaving, and didn't say anything. The other owner (who acted as host) was sitting at the host stand on her phone. Not that I expected much, but a simple "hey thanks for coming in have a great night" would have been great. Overall, food was great, ambience was nice, but service was a little slow at times and could improve on customer service skills. Will definitely return as the food was great.

This was my first visit to La Trattoria - we were pleasantly greeted by the host and seated immediately. Our meal started with drinks and bread, and both were delicious. My choice for dinner was the Alfredo shrimp with a wedge salad. The Alfredo sauce was delicious and the shrimp was a perfect compliment. Overall, this is a nice family restaurant with great food and service. I'll definitely return, and try the steaks too.

This is a wonderful gem in old town Greenwood! The smaller size almost guarantees the place will be full, but the wait wasn't long despite not needing a reservation. They don't take reservations anyway. They took care of my want to try everything and have a sampler plate on the menu. The serving size was more than enough, and I was able to take some home for lunch the following day. There was so much cheese on the lasagna, I almost forgot that there were noodles. Looking around at other peoples' plates, I have plenty of excuses to return: perfectly cooked filet mignon, half-dollar-sized shrimp, blueberry-lemon cheesecake... I can't wait for outside seating this spring and summer!

Menu limited. Not true Italian cuisine. When asked for grated parmesan was brought shaker from a pizza restaurant. Filet was of good quality and prepared as ordered but no seasoning options offered. Average at best and will not return.
