La Scala Italian Restaurant

Hands down in our top two restaurants in Lafayette/West Lafayette! We love this place. It is all about the food! The food is quality and consistently delicious. The owner has a farm and uses a lot of the produce she grows herself for the freshest ingredients. The variety on the menu is fabulous as well. They always have exceptional daily specials. It's always so hard to decide what to order!The negative is that it is only open for dinners on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. They used to be open more than than as well as for lunch (they had a fantastic lunch menu!) so that's a disappointment. The place is also clean, but I would like to see them replace their tables and chairs. The chairs are old and you sink down so low. The tables don't have a smooth surface and crumb debris gets caught.This is the only authentic, quality Italian place in town so I hope it sticks around for a long time! With her decreasing the hours from what she had before, I worry she'll eventually close. It would be a huge loss to the community if it did.

This is my second time coming here and this has been the best experience! Our server Alexis was absolutely incredible and made our celebration for my friend's birthday very special. We ordered aperol spritz and a peach Bellini which were both very delicious! The side salad was absolutely delicious as well. For my main I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and it was by far the best fettuccine Alfredo I have ever had. It was so good I could barely breathe, I was gasping for air. I highly highly recommend this place. Alexis is so perfect and awesome and amazing. Every time I visit the area I will 100% come back! Try to sit outdoors as the vibe is incredible, a great view!

OMG one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had!! Highly, highly recommend the bolognese but beware it's pretty heavy! Besides the food, the service was great; very quick and the waitress was patient and friendly! Will be coming back asap :)

I really enjoyed my time at La Scala! If you're not dining solo, you really do need a reservation. I tried to book one but couldn't get through. I decided to just show up and they were able to seat me at the bar right away while other parties waited for their tables to clear up. The bartender was so great and super attentive. I loved my drinks and had a lovely entree and dessert!

Soup and Main entree were both excellent. Would recommend different bread. Dipping pretzels rolls in oil was just weird.

The service and food are good! Went to drop off my senior at Purdue and had some chicken parm and Cioppino as a night out. I recommend! My daughter was in West Lafayette 19 years ago and we ate here back then.

A very nice experience here, lovely atmosphere and ambiance, good service, and very delicious food. Good portions. The tortellini soup was thick,tasty and creamy. The wild salmon was a surprise with strawberry. Excellent.I would return....check them out.

Service was great. Food was terrible. From the appetizer soup, to the entree, it was really bad. My soup was really sour, and the entree was really overcooked, and tasted something like Pizza Hut sauce‍. Really didn't meet my expectations. Some of the art in the right side dining room was also pretty odd.

Been to La scala multiple times and enjoyed each time. Food ambiance and staff were exceptional. Planning another visit this weekend.

It's the only non-chain Italian restaurant in the area. It's only open for dinner on Thurs, Fri and Sat. The food was fine. It wasn't fabulous but it wasn't bad. I was disappointed because I thought it would be better since it's farm to table. If you really want Italian in Lafayette this place is fine. It wasn't expensive. Our meal was around $44. Our server was new so I don't want to rate the service as it would be unfair.
