I lived in CA for 18 years and let me tell you, this is the worst so called "Mexican" food I ever ate in my life. I can't understand why everything is stuffed with tasteless hamburger and covered/stuffed with some liquid stuff that they call cheese, more like white Velveeta Been there 4 times, always left disappointed. Actually, all "Mexican " restaurants I've been in this Muncie area are not par for even small Taquerias in simple towns in CA ... I can't understand why here is so bland.

Love their food! The best beef tacos & seafood enchiladas!! Their salsa is so good. The service can be lagging at times, but when you order for pick-up, your food is hot and tasty!

This is your typical Mexican Restaurant. Nothing flashy. Nothing crazy. Just good food & a clean, welcoming environment. I had the Chicken Chimichanga and it was very good. Service was good and the Manager came by several times to make sure we were ok. Food came out fast, hot and fresh. We will be back. Quick tip...when entering the Restaurant there's a door to the right & left. Take the door to the right for La Palma. The other door (Left) takes you to a different restaurant

It's nice to have a good Mexican place in s small town. The interior is large and wide open. Not much Mexican flair or decoration to enhance the experience. The dinning room seemed very cold. The chips were good, crisp and not too greasy. The salsa was thicker and tasty. Not much heat so if you like hotter you will have to ask.On this trip I had a three cheese enchilada dinner with avocado and chicken. I liked the cheese enchilada - very cheesy! The chicken and Avocado was kind of a mess and didn't accent the food much. Overall it was okay. You will enjoy the staff - they are very friendly and prompt. The food service is also quick!

We ate there for the first time at the recommendation of a friend. The salsa was very fresh & the chips were pretty normal. I don't like too much spice & it was perfect for me. My husband ordered some chicken quesadillas. Said they were excellent. I had a steak burrito that was too big for me to eat it all there and it was excellent. The only problems we experience was a significant delay in getting someone at the register to take our money. My advice...raise the prices a bit & add a server or hostess. It's the ONLY thing we disliked about our evening.

As with most restaurants, it boils down to two things: food and service. (I'm not to generally comment on atmosphere.) La Palma was 1 for 2 in those categories.I'll start with the good: the food! I loved the food. I got the Burrito Cancun with steak and it was delicious. I also loved the salsa. I don't like spicy food, and the salsa wasn't hot at all. I know making it hot is an option for those who are so inclined though. The chips were good and crunchy, although not as fresh as they sometimes are at Mexican places. Also, as a bonus, they have Coke products. Big plus for me.Now for the bad: the service. We were there around 2 for a late lunch and there were only a couple more tables with people in the place. There were two waitresses working the room. We immediately got our chips and salsa and our orders were taken, but it was downhill from there. For as slow as they were, our food took unusually long. When I eat Mexican I'm used to very quick service regardless of how busy they are, but it was the opposite here. After we got our drinks, neither waitress came anywhere near our table. When we wanted a refill on chips we had to get the waitress's attention while they were putting up a Christmas tree. That was frustrating. They never asked if everything was good, or offered drink refills. We also needed to place a to-go order for somebody else and they never came to give us a chance. Fortunately once we did, it was done a lot faster than our food was.Overall I'd recommend the place. The food was worth the poor service, and somebody who I was with has been there many times and said the service isn't usually that bad.

No condiments on tables. Food was bland. Would have been better if they had pico Dr gallo, lettuce sour cream on side. Servings were big. Server was good.
