Kotoyama Ramen & Sushi

Great spot for a quick Japanese food! Something for everyone on the menu, I highly recommend the braised beef. I ordered it as my main entree with a sushi roll and the meat was very tender and juicy. Potatoes were well cooked and the sauce was delicious. My husband had the Teppan Yaki chicken ramen, I've never had ramen before and noodle dishes aren't usually my thing, however it was pretty tasty. Inside was clean, plenty of seating, their water was good too, our server was very attentive and refilled waters before they even made it half full. We will be back!

Went to Kotoyama with my family and we enjoyed it! It wasn't too busy for a Sunday afternoon. Our waiter was friendly! We ordered a California roll, steak bento box, and Butaniku ramen. I shared the ramen with my kids but also ordered some fish cakes and extra noodles on the side. The ramen was good but the ingredients were cold, so I'm thinking the soup wasn't hot enough to heat up everything. The side of fish cakes were still frozen. I'd still go again as we enjoyed the bento and California roll!

Kotoyama was just what I needed after a hectic day. The dining room is very Zen, lovely and relaxing. I truly felt transported to a small sushi bar in Japan. There are only twelve tables, so the place is small and intimate. We were welcomed with smiles and promptly seated. Our server was gracious and attentive. Beverages and food came out quickly. I had a glass of Chardonnay and my husband had a beer. They also offer specialty cocktails and mock tails that looked exotic and tempting. The menu is filled with ramen and sushi options. For apps, we shared the Rock Shrimp, which was crunchy and delicious with an incredible spicy hot sauce. We also shared the Indy Roll which was a beautiful and refreshing fried lobster, crab, avocado sushi roll with an eel sauce. For dinner, we shared the Sushi Roll Combo with three rolls. The sushi is beautiful and delicious. I loved the Shrimp Tempura Roll, which was spicy and crunchy. My husband enjoyed the Tuna Avocado Roll. This is such a cute Ramen and sushi shop!! We came here on a cold winter night and the Ramen is exactly what I needed. I asked our waiter's recommendation for a popular ramen dish and when I said I'm a fan of spicy bases, he suggested the Spicy Miso Ramen or the Teriyaki Pork Ramen. I chose the Teriyaki Pork Ramen and the dish was so flavorful! I can't wait to come back and try the Spicy Miso! My friends loved their sushi rolls (playboy and spicy girl) and miso soup. Cant wait to be back and try more this winter!!

The service was fast and the food was tasty - what more could you ask for?! I was seated quickly by a friendly staff member and was given plenty of time to peruse the menu. The Angry Dragon Roll was a perfect choice and so filling! I almost didn't have room for my ramen... but of course made it work . The portions on the ramen were great. I got spicy and it wasn't too overwhelming at all. The staff even boxed up my leftovers for me which was a nice touch. Plenty of parking in the area and even a nice set of tables outside in the shared parking lot. Two entrances, but only one door in use.

Came here when it was freezing outside craving a warm bowl of ramen. The atmosphere inside is so cute. I especially love their ramen bar seating area. I didn't expect the menu to be so full but there were tons of options for ramen, sushi, bento boxes, appetizers and more! I split two appetizers with my friend. We got takoyaki and Char Siu buns and they were both eaten so quickly! The takoyaki was smaller than some places but still delicious! I got the #1 Butaniku ramen and it was delicious and so filling! I had enough leftover for a second helping later. Our waiter was kind and attentive when needed. I really loved it here and hope to come back soon to try some of their combos! *Tip: it can get drafty in here if seated close to the door so I'd recommend wearing a sweater or something warm in the cold months.

Got the Spicy Miso Raman on the waiter's recommendation, and it was really good. Spicy enough to add to the flavor but didn't over power the rest. And I tried the Thai Iced Tea. Now that tea was delicious! Looked like muddy water, but once it hits your tastebuds it's a whole other story. Creamy, sweet and delicious! The restaurant has a real feel and presence of a small bistro somewhere in the far east with the masks, lanterns and even the anime comic at the bar seating. Give this place a try!

Meh, I wanted to dig this place solely based off the reviews on here but I wasn't digging the vibe. It was a Friday night and there were a few tables sat and the staff just stood at the front watching everyone or playing around on their phones, I felt like every move of ours was watched and it just didn't sit well with me. I walked over to the restroom and it started to smell like some sick concoction of cigarettes and feces which is not ideal when you're about to eat. One of the restrooms was out of order so wasn't sure if that was the reason for the smell?As for service, even though standing and watching, our server was helpful and friendly. All of the above was throwing me off and we each ordered a roll, just a single each, which I don't think had ever happened with me and my husband. I really just wanted to get out of there and get the smell out of my nose.

Great spot! Efficient table ordering system. If you're getting sushi, there aren't a lot of rolls offered, but the rolls we had were really good! And the ramen was a hit! Looks clean inside and nicely decorated. We'll keep it in the rotation!
