Kim's Kakery, Bakery & Cafe

New year, new cake tasting box. I don't know why more bakery's don't offer this option (except for those getting married) but this is my bliss. I learned from last year and had the very kind employee write the names of the types of cake on the box. It was so tempting to grab some of their other items but this time I resisted. The cake itself was excellent and fresh. Definitely a softer cake and creamier icing if that makes sense. I love the variety of flavors - just be sure to call and confirm they've got a box ready.

I saw the TikTok trend of buying a wedding cake sampler and had to find out if these existed near me. Lucky for me. Kim's Kakery was only about a mile away. Not only did they have this cake sampler, but they also had a cake pop sampler that I will be back for another time.The cake was so moist and flavorful. Everyone delicious in its own way, but my favorite was the white chocolate raspberry. The whole box was only about $25 I think. I also got two macaroons not pictured, but they were some of the best I've ever had in my life 10 out of 10 would recommend Kim's and I will be back.

Ordered a cake for grandmas birthday, went to pick it up, no one was there.... Who takes orders for a product, tells you when to pick it up then GHOSTS you? Would've had better luck at Costco

BEST BAKERY!!! Stopped in on Friday needed a birthday cake for Sunday. They were able to personalize a cake for me & it was scrumptious!!!! Their ooey gooey bars are outstanding! Mini cupcakes are delicious as well. You can't go wrong here.

Excellent bakery items, but I have never once received friendly service. A paying guest is not merely a waste of your time.

Love the fresh selection of baked goods. Friendly service and variety of offerings are always welcome! Great taste. I always carry out and never have to wait.

I've been going here for 6 years! It's absolutely my favorite bakery in town. If you're on the south side, this is the place to go. What you need to get:- chocolate frosted brownies. Wow, they are soooo rich. The frosting is delightfully sugary and the brownie is nice and chewy. - almond cupcakes - I used to be like "almond?!" But this is the same cake flavor that most wedding cakes have. The frosting is sooo good, I love it. I honestly prefer this to Flying Cupcake. They have other good cupcakes as well- the sugar frosted cookies. The shapes and designs rotate based on season (Halloween, Christmas, Easter, etc). The frosting isn't royal icing but more of a buttercream think. They offer a lot - coffee, sandwiches, cakes, truffles, pastries, and more!! There's some seating if you want to eat there and for cake tasting. I've only gotten a cake once but it was very good. They have some unique designs that always tempt me, but alas, I never have an event that requires a whole cake. They used to only take cash for orders under $10 but since the pandemic will accept credit cards - which in a way is bad for me, because now it is easier to visit! :)

I cannot say enough good things about Kim's Kakery! I'll tell the story of how we became fans. A friend from the south side would only order birthday cakes from here. We always loved them. Said friend was getting married- but the wedding was postponed due to COVID so we had a small get together to celebrate the day. I ordered a cake from somewhere else and it was a disaster. That word doesn't even adequately describe how awful the cake looked. So I stopped in Kim's in a panic. They created a cake in MINUTES while I waited in the car that was exactly as I had envisioned it. And of course it was delicious. From then on we've ordered multiple birthday cakes, cupcakes and other items. I've never once been concerned that I wouldn't like the look or taste of what they create. For us the almond cake is the go-to and all of our party guests have always complimented it!

We used Kim's for our wedding cake last weekend and do not have a single regret. The cake was beautiful and tasted delicious. We got so many compliments on the way it looked, but were told by multiple people it was the best wedding cake they've ever had (and I would have to agree).They also made the process totally painless. We did two tastings with them, which was honestly the hardest part because all of the ones we tasted were so good. They have every flavor you could think of, and then about ten more. We ended up doing two flavors, white chocolate raspberry and spice, because we couldn't decide. We did a tiered cake for the cutting and kitchen cakes, all of which were delivered to our venue. I highly recommend Kim's if you're in the market for a wedding cake, or any cake for that matter. We'll definitely be using them for any bakery needs in the future.

Have not been in a while, but I'm sure it's still the high quality bakery with gluten free pastries on some items
