Kelly's Cakes

Amazing selection of all sorts of sweets at affordable prices! My husband and I enjoyed picking out a few different options and will definitely be back!

I stopped in for some pan dulce, and yes, Kelly's has some pan dulce. You will find your conchas and your puerquitos. You'll also find galletas, orejas and much more. I decided on a sugary cuernito, except mine was shaped more like a circle than a horn. It was still delicious.When you walk into Kelly's Cakes, you will see a bakery case to your left with all of the pan dulce and bolillos. Then there's a smaller refrigerated case at the front by the register with cake slices, jelly / pudding cups, and some whole cakes. From reading the other reviews, it sounds like Kelly's makes cakes and desserts to order, but I don't know about that! I was just stopping in to get a sweet bread.If you're looking for some pan dulce on the east side, this is a great place to find it.

Kelly's cakes is a very much needed bright spot on this part of Pendleton Pike. This is a Mexican style bakery and, on our visit, there were no English speaking staff. That was just fine, though, as you grab a tray and serve yourself from the variety of pastries. Not as sweet as American pastries, everything we got was a unique experience. Muffins. Croissants. Rolled Cake. A ton of other things I really can't identify. Do yourself a favor and stop by Kelly's cakes.

We stopped in pretty late around 8 o'clock. They close at nine. They had a full case of BEAUTIFUL desserts and breads. I got the tres leches cake and my boyfriend had the churros. The cake is AMAZING. The little hint of espresso or coffee really made it delicious. I can't wait to come back and try other creations!

This place is awesome. Cake flavor, kindness and professionalism, availability, the whole 9 yard. I needed a last minute birthday cake but I also didn't want to go inside anywhere because of Covid (we're very at risk), and they were so kind! They literally offered to text me pics of the case so I could pick something out and pay over the phone, then met me at the door to hand off the cake (in full Covid protections). They had lots of size options too which was super convenient. The cake was sooo good. We like tres or he's a lot and have had and made plenty, but this was off the hook. No weird syrupy processed fruit it was all fresh, the cake was evenly baked and perfectly moist, and the whipped cream icing was light and creamy and some kind of light mocha or French vanilla that really added dimension (none of that processed nastiness with that filmy aftertaste that some shops use). Plus they were open on Sunday! Hidden gem in the same strip as Mama's Korean next to Post Rd, definitely worth driving over to experience.

They open at 7am but bread is from days ago. Purchased a bread that couldn't be broken. Received my money back but won't be returning. The young lady said fresh bread was available at 12. Their opening time is 7am but she implied that it was impossible to have bread ready that early.
