We booked an evening here for a work event. It's a sure hidden gem. They had charcuterie board and fruit tray set up for us. Soft drinks and water were provided and then an alcohol selection for purchase. Staff were incredibly friendly and on deck to coach. They have additional axes available for upgrade also. They have group bookings, leagues and traditional throwing available. Can't make it in? They also travel to you! I can't wait to return!

This was a lot of fun and we will definitely go back. A few things give this place an edge above other local axe throwing establishments:*50% off for active and retired military and military veterans*family-friendly - the only local axe throwing place where kids are also welcome (they do have to be 10yo+...I think that was minimum anyway)*They provide free popcorn and a designated cooler full of free drinks.

We stopped in here to watch our friend throw in a tournament. We had never been to this location, but the box truck that states "axe throwing" in the parking lot certainly helps you figure out exactly where it is! We were greeted by Chris, part owner, and let him know we were there to watch a friend. He let us know he was on the other side. They have two separate sides with room to throw on both sides. We found our friend and sat at the small bar area. Dan, another part owner and Chris's father, was manning the bar and he was so kind and funny! Both Chris and Dan seem to be two of the most genuine people you could ever meet and really wanted us to enjoy our time there. This was the first tournament they hosted and they had a food truck out back for any one who wanted to get food on site. They also had beer, wine, pop, and water. If you are looking for a family owned business to support, go check them out!!

My husband and I decided to try out Johnson County Ax Throwing one evening for a date night. They are fairly new. We entered and were the only ones there for a bit. We were given a lane and instructed on the different ways to throw the ax. After throwing for a bit, the gentleman asked if we would like to play a game. We played a few games and were given some tips while we were throwing. It was an great evening and good establishment. They had soft drinks and soda available as well. It was $20 a person for an hour. We had done this before downtown. Our only wish was that they possibly had different axes. For example some heavier axes (my husband's wish).

SUCH A FUN PLACE!!Went here on a Saturday afternoon with a group of about 10 people for a friend's birthday celebration. It was a blast. The place is small, so groups can be a little snug. We were there along with a VERY LARGE GROUP (like family reunion size). It was sorta crazy. Our smaller group had the front area for axe throwing (I'll elaborate on that more later).INSTRUCTORS: Our instructor/supervisor was great. We had people show up late and she trained us as we arrived. She mediated games between our group and even coached us as we threw to get better. LANES: The areas for throwing are short, which means you don't need a whole lot of power to get the axe to the target. If you've been or seen axe throwing, then you know the scariest part is the possibility for the axe to bounce back aggressively and chop ya. That did happen at all! I think the short lanes were the reason, but what do I know Like I said before, we were in the front area/lane, which is by the west facing windows. Since we were there late afternoon, the sun was shining (yay), which meant extra warmth in a small space with LOTS of humans and their body heat. The sun also got in your eyes a bit.DRINKS: They have complimentary beverages (water, Coke, Pepsi, Mt. Dew, and the diet versions of each.OVERALL: A great time! Before you go, check to see how many groups are going and how big the groups are when you want to go (if they'll give you that info). The only reason I'm I socked them a star is because of how crowded it was.

The workers were friendly and helpful. They did a great job explaining how to use the technology that went with the axe throwing. The different game modes were awesome. Definitely will be going back!
