Great place to play pool getting together with friends. I play in APA pool league their. And I recommend it to all pool player.

Been attending this bar over a decade now. It's a nice time for pool. Not to busy but also not dead ever. Bartenders are nice and attentive. Pleasure every time.

Don't come here if you're not a local or regular. They don't like outsiders. I got kicked out for no reason. The bouncer said "the bartender just doesn't want you here" and then got jumped by the locals outside! Hands down the lamest bar I've been to. So if you're against fun and like getting jumped my a bunch of losers, this is the place for you.

This is a great place for pool! There are several pool tables with pretty blue covers. Also if you'd like to play Texas Hold'em this is the place. The bartender was friendly and the drink selections were varied. One of TV's was on a funniest animals show and the one had a sports channel on. The bar stools were so comfy we felt like sitting there forever. The pizza did not wow us so we will not order it again. Maybe we'll try the burgers next time. I did not see any likeness of the namesake John Wayne though.

This place is a great pool hall/bar. They also have free Texas Holdem poker tournaments through out the week. The service was good, but the food was average. I wasn't really impressed. The pork tenderloin didn't have any flavor. The wings were decent. At the end of the day the items I ordered were mostly fried with no flavor. I'll come back, but in not sure I'll be ordering food.

Went on a first date here. Played pool, threw darts, listened to good music and drank cold beer. Will be married 30 years in May and so happy to see the place still thriving!!! Thanks!!

Pretty sad when the owner won't let you order a bucket when you are on your 3rd beer. They make you pay for it separately. What kind of crap is that. This was told to a regular paying customer and it's freaking sad and bad for business. We bring in massive amounts of money for this bar and this is the way they treat their regular customers...

Just moved here and noticed the name of the pub. Decided to try it. The bartender was awesome and the food and atmosphere were beyond expectations. I had the mushroom bacon burger and it the best in the longest time. I ordered a hamburger club to go and it was spectacular. Highly recommend here.

I came here last October right off the plane from California on the recommendation of my friends. It was during a partial lockdown, so it was pretty dead, but the staff was very friendly, treated me well, and the prices were great. Everyone wore a mask (for which I was thankful), the food was typical bar snacks, and very good. Definitely coming back on my next Indy trip...and hopefully under better circumstances.
