I ordered a chair in December 2022 with a $1400 deposit. Have had to call to see if it when it might be done, zero follow up from them. Was told it would be delivered in May when I called them but truly sounded like they had forgotten. It is now the beginning of May and have had no updates. I am so glad we did not use this company for our entire living room as suggested by our designer who was also lousy at follow up. Over priced and no customer service.

I purchased a leather sofa about a year ago. my first experience with This establishment was not impressI've. I couldn't get a person to help me, although many stood around chit chatting. Why, I walked back in to look at this sofa again still amazes me. Tom Rafool assisted me and truly was professional and amazing to work with. Unfortunatel, within the first year, the mechanism that operates the recliner has failed. It has been 7 or 8 months trying to get this resolved. Twice, they have ordered the wrong part even though the repairman had taken a photo of the part. Tom has been able to get some things done, but he is one person who can't seem to get others to do their job correctly. I even went as far as to contactNick Williams who was supposed to be "the man." Appears he isn't. Tom has continued to direct me to the person who can help, but no one u derstands quality and SERVICE bring customers back.

According to the pleasant woman who greeted us at the door, this furniture store is as big as a football field! So that gives you an idea how much furniture is here. Yeah, there's a lot. It's a little on the pricey side -- even the sale prices (think $4,000 for a sofa, marked down from $8,000), but it looks well-made and the wooden pieces look to be made from real wood, so you get what you pay for. I really appreciated that they leave you alone to explore the store at your own pace. There's nothing an introvert dislikes more than some salesman or -woman hanging around like a pest. The woman who greeted me let me know she was available if we had questions, then left us alone. That's how it's done!Another thing: What you see on the showroom floor is what you get. They don't have a warehouse where they store more furniture. You can customize fabric for your upholstery, though.

Horrible experience at John Kirk. Spent $10,000 for sectional which was defective. They never call us back. They want to rebuild part of it. They clearly don't care about the customer. BUYER BEWARE

This is a fabulous furniture store with an extensive selection in house. You can find everything from all ranges of furniture, lamps, bars and game room tables, pinball machines, pool tables, and neon bar lighting, custom order furniture, flooring, area rugs and art work with numerous home decor items. The service was excellent, thank you Tony, and he was available for questions but allowed me to shop entire store without hovering. Wear comfortable walking shoes...store is extremely large.

We found this place about a year ago and were greeted by Thomas and had a great experience. We are now looking for more furniture and went back and once again were greeted by same salesman, very professional and very enjoyable to work with, and at the end of evening we purchased more. My wife and I both laughed at another salesman was starting to turn off all the lights while we were still picking out furniture! If you go talk to Thomas, he will take care of you, at least he has been great to us!!

i love shopping here. They always have what I want, and the staff is fabulous. Once I ordered the wrong size mattress, and the delivery people returned immediately to the store, and within an hour, they were back with the correct size for me. Their year around Christmas store is absolutely the best. it's so beautiful, and gives such wonderful ideas. Nick will make arrangements and embellish items for your home decor. it's always an exciting time to shopping there!

I cannot say enough about the service I received from Kristi, who is an amazing designer at John Kirk. We have lived in Indianapolis for 28 years and had never purchased anything from John Kirk Furniture before. I was so impressed with their selection and the high quality of the furniture offered. I did not have an appointment with Kristi, but asked, "Do you work here?" and even though she had tight deadlines to meet, she took a lot of time with me to coordinate colors and to tie in a sunroom for me, that we use as a second family room. Kristi had GREAT IDEAS as to how to update our look. We purchased a Sherrill sofa and "built" it in a custom order. I spoke with a man we use for upholstery and he gave Sherrill furniture high marks. I would definitely go to John Kirk again and without question, I would work with Kristi!!!!! She is AMAZING!!!!!!

And the saga continues. Picked up the "mis-ordered" and restocking fee paid dining room wrapped chairs (2) with an appointment time. 1) Arrived on time and my elderly Mother-in-law was asked to wait and walk around until THEY were ready2) Had the two wrapped chairs loaded in our truck and took home. Once unwrapped the chairs we discovered the chairs were the previous incorrect ordered chairs. 3) John Kirk Furniture had a delivery truck deliver the right chairs to my mother-in-law who was at the store to pick UP the chairs4) Arrangement were made for the next day for delivery of correct chairs and pick up of incorrect chairs5) John Kirk Furniture called my Mother-in-law and advised that she never paid the re-stocking fee. Well that was interesting - since we manage her online bank account - we found the check that was processed by John Kirk Furniture. Not a good experience at all for anyone

On May 25th, we paid in full for two new power leather recliners with adjustable headrests. On June 18th, the recliners were delivered to us but one of them was extensively damaged. The damaged chair had so many problems that it shouldn't have been brought to our house. But the delivery guys just took a few pictures and pressed me to sign for both chairs anyway. I watched part of the damage occur when these two guys unloaded the chair off of the truck. They didn't use a lift and struggled with the heavy chairs (each one has two electric motors). Over the next month, I sent many emails including many pictures to the store's representative. She said a repairman could come to our home or we could meet a manufacturer representative. On July 18, we wasted our time going to the store warehouse to meet with a manufacturer rep. Before we arrived he had agreed to replace the chair based on the pics (so why were we there)? We waited patiently for over seven weeks before inquiring about the status of the replacement. On Sept 9th, the store representative admitted that it had been sitting in their local warehouse. But neither she nor anyone else had contacted us to arrange for it to be delivered to our house. On Sept 11 the rep said we could inspect the chair at the warehouse before it was delivered to us. By email I asked her "What time range is possible?" and she replied back to me "Anytime is fine". But when I texted while on our way at 3:42 PM she replied 'Fine, but the warehouse closes at 4:00'. During the inspection we pointed out that two of the wooden bun feet on the chair were damaged. The floor protectors were broken off (on bottoms) and the varnished finish was damaged (on sides). The rep agreed to switch these two feet with two undamaged feet from a floor model chair they had. She said that they could order new feet for the floor model before selling it to someone else later on.On Sept 17th, the new chair was delivered to us (it was wrapped up in protective materials). I recognized one of the guys from the warehouse so I asked him if the feet had been changed. He said 'Yes' so I took his word for it and didn't unwrap and inspect the feet until a later date. That's when I saw an attempt made to repair the feet (instead of switching them as agreed). The agreed upon feet had larger floor protectors that screwed into them on the bottoms. And the varnished finish on the sides of those feet didn't have significant damage to them. But the feet we got have small protectors tacked on next to broken off screws from the originals. The smaller ones like what should be used on a lightweight table leg (not on a very heavy chair). To make the chair set level someone unscrewed original large protectors on the undamaged legs. And replaced them by tacking on smaller protectors to the side of the screw hole for the original. The varnished sides of the feet are also damaged (moving on a rough surface without protectors). I emailed the rep some pics of one of the legs to show her an example of the damage/repair. The varnished finish was not just damaged near floor level (but also up higher on the sides). I asked for her to order four new feet because even the undamaged ones had been altered. The rep ignored my request so I filed a BBB complaint (no customer should have to do this). Their response made false statements, denied there's a problem, and didn't offer a solution. But I wouldn't have had any reason to make a complaint if there wasn't a remaining problem.About five months ago, we paid in full for two recliners delivered in brand new condition. This should've been a positive experience (but it was an extremely negative one instead). A great deal of our time has been wasted and all the unexpected delays are inexcusable. We paid for two new matching chairs and that's what we should we should end up with. We shouldn't be expected to settle for parts that are damaged or inadequately repaired. We definitely wouldn't buy from this store again and don't recommend them to others.
