Purchased 1 1/2 lb ground sirloin beef to test out this butcher and the quality of the meat. It was very good and would highly recommend. Had other butchers in the past where the meat would go bad over night. Will definitely be back 10/10! Unfortunately did not take a photo before eating it up!

We've been shopping at Joe's for a couple of years now. Joe's is local and offers freshly butchered/cured, high quality meats in the shop and you can also order specialty cuts. In the past, we've picked up brisket to smoke. Today, we just picked up some fresh ground beef to make hamburgers. They are currently taking orders for Thanksgiving turkey! The shop also sells wine, some cheese, prepared salads, bbq spices and sauce and just about everything you'd need to fix a gourmet dinner. Today, I was happy to see fresh pasta (reasonably priced) and beautiful specialty mushrooms. They also make deli-style sandwiches to order and there is a small area to eat inside. I haven't tried the sandwiches. The clerks are anxious to serve and efficient. There's plenty of street parking early in the day, but good luck.

On our way north we stopped with friends to try this local deli. It has a store on one side and then some indoor seating on the other. They also have outdoor seating which gets some nice shade on a hot day. They have a variety of options throughout the store for things like sauces, jars of fun food, pastas and crackers plus local offerings you can take home and cook. The best part though is the deli and meat counters, in that you can order their various side dishes like pasta salad, macaroni salad, broccoli salad etc and sandwiches made to order! We had a variety which all were on different breads (rolls, baguette, brioche...) with different meats and mine was a veggie. The flavors were excellently picked and I loved my hot veggie! The others exclaimed over their choices and said they loved the amount of meat ratio to bread to fixings. Everything was devoured and we took some sides home for later.Definitely a fun spot to try and check out for both sandwiches and other items.

Joe's butcher shop is such a nice store located right in Carmel downtown. We have been going frequently primarily for the femur bones for our dogs and we love the variety Joes has to offer from different types of cheese, curated meats to daily fresh sandwiches and a wonderful array of dips, jams and sauces. Service is great and quick and I love how clean and well presented every single item. The store is located right on the Main Street in a very busy touristy neighborhood. Street parking only which is definitely quick to find, else you have an option of garage parking too a little farther away

Evan's IPA Braised Beef Sandwich is one of the best sandwhiches in Indy. My picture wasn't great, but I was too ready to eat to retake. If braised beef isn't your style, the BLT or Italian are amazing options also. Wish they had a location nearer to me, but always worth the drive. While you're there grab one of the best steaks in town to grill for dinner. If you're lazy about making mashed potatoes like me, grab a boil bag at the meat market. So easy, so delicious.

We knew about buying food at Joe's but didn't know until recently that they also offer sandwiches. A friend recommended their bah mi so off we went. The sandwich offering is extensive. The man behind the counter was very helpful and pointed out some of the favorites. I was torn as the flank steak sandwich and the chicken tortq sounded good but I stuck with the bah mi.You order and then sit down if you aren't doing takeout and they will bring the food to you. Ah... nice soft roll, the pork belly was perfectly crisp and delicious as was the sauce. My only issue was that it was a bit greasy. It was also huge. Since we all got bah mi sandwiches, we decided next time to get two different sandwiches and split them to share. The macaroni salad side was good. The Mexican corn salad was disappointing and tasted as if the corn had been over cooked- it was hard.Overall a good experience and we will be back soon to try some other sandwiches and to wander around and check out all their fun products and meats and fishes.

Amazing food as always for a great price being fresh. I've been buying meat for years from here when not up at Alaska house.

I don't know how I just discovered this place, but it is sooo good. I had the French orchard which was wonderful, the bread was so soft and I loved the cream sauce that was on it as well as the bacon fig jam. My favorite though has to be the flank steak sandwich. It was seriously incredible. I'll be getting it at least once a week from now on. We also had the chicken salad and Mac salad which were both also delicious. Can't wait to explore the menu more!

Debris Po' Boy sandwich was absolutely superb! The young man at the counter was providing excellent service with a smile. The table by the window added enjoyment to our dining experience. Lastly, the restroom was clean and the hot water was hot, which is not always the case in restaurants. We are an hour away and plan on returning to eat and explore what Carmel's Main street has to offer. Well done!

Joe's Butcher Shop is normally a 5 star for me, but I was in there a few weeks ago and 4 different people tried to talk me out of a whole Atlas beef tenderloin they had on sale. I was having several people over, many of them kids, and I had already bought Prime filets at $49 a lb, and I wanted something that I wouldn't mind when the kids only took a bite, then wanted chicken fingers or Mac and cheese. The first butcher was literally adamant that they were horrible, and said he would not feel comfortable selling them to us. He then gave a lesson on choice, prime, etc. A second butcher reiterated that they were terrible. I said, if they are so awful, why do you have them, other than to bring people in for a bait and switch? The price of the Prime was 3 1/2 times more. I had bought the Prime the day before, to the tune of about $350. Once I would not be persuaded, they treated me as if I was a homeless person off the street, making me wait for ever and just slinging the trimmed tenderloin on the counter without as much as a thank you, come again.I just moved to Carmel the end of last year, and this is the first place that has not made me feel welcome.I dine in many nice restaurants for work as well as pleasure, and buy expensive meat and fish frequently. After this experience, I doubt it will be at Joe's.
