Jimmy's Diner

We always look for a hometown diner for breakfast because owners take pride in the food they make. Jimmys was no exception to this. Food was great and as ordered and delivered to our table from the cook/owner (I believe). Great experience and would definitely stop there again on our way back through.

This place is so cute. And has great pictures of Indianapolis back in the Day. The service is very welcoming with a down home feel. My potatoes were perfect, eggs exactly like I ordered, bacon delicious and crispy. They have Rye toast! I spilled my water and they were so gracious. However I did finish my meal before I got another after asking. Totally recommend this place.

This is a small mom and pop dinner located off the beaten path, just down the street from UIndy. It was fun how I found this place. I was just driving down the street looking for a place to eat lunch and I passed this place and it had a sign out front that said Sloppy Joes. I was like, I don't mind if I do.This place has a small dining area with a few booths and tables. They definitely have their regulars because I was the only person there that was not on a first name basis with the staff there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Luckily, I caught them just before they closed and was able to sit and eat in. They have you typical dinner food with daily specials. The special, the day I was there, was, yep, you guessed it, sloppy joes. Their food is very reasonably priced.I ordered a sloppy joes, which came with fries. I took about 5 minutes for them to prepare it and it was fresh and hot. There was so much 'sloppy' on my joe that I could not really make it a sandwich and had to did in with a knife and fork. It was one of the best sloppy joes I have had. The meat was very flavorful. I am still thinking about it.I highly recommend checking this place out. It is a hidden gem that I was lucky to stumble upon. I will definitely be back soon.

So, my hubby and mother in law & myself went here today! It's a cozy neighborhood diner and I'm here for it! I got breakfast and the hubby got a burger and tater tots my mother in law got French toast. It is truly comfort food and a comfort setting! Service was in the great words of JJ Evans "dynomite." Sorry I wish I would've taken photos of our plates but I was hongry so I'll be sure to take photos the next time we visit! Which will be soon! I told the hubby I wish we lived closer because I would never cook we would just go to the diner for breakfast/lunch and maybe even dinner! So check them out whenever you're on the south side of Indy!

Great food. It's real small. Food is made to order. Do not come if u r in a big hurry. Delightful crowd of regulars. Shop LOCAL. Spend your dollars with your neighbors. There is nothing more important than supporting local small business.

The food costs have raised. Which is fine is the food was as good as it used to be but it's really gone down hill in my opinion. Service is always some slow older woman who can only do one thing at a time and forgets stuff constantly. The inside is a mix and feels like someone grandma who can't decide on a theme. Now with Trump stickers. I also witnessed Jimmy walking out the front door to hand someone their food in the car. To then walk right back in and start immediately cooking not changing his gloves or washing his hands after touching the door. The wife is also unbearable always being dramatic and constantly talking about being barked at when someone asks her a question. Who knows maybe you'll enjoy it but I won't be back.

I love Jimmy's Diner. Simple, good food, quick and nice service with prices that you can afford. I've had breakfast and lunch here many times and have always had good food. Keep it up Jimmy's!

I've been here a few times. Small restaurant with really good food. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. The service is quick and the servers have always been polite. I particularly like the country ham breakfast. Although they don't always have it available. Otherwise, Cracker Barrel is the only other place I've found it. Trust me when I say, id much rather eat at Jimmy's.
