I've only had a few menu items from here but I have enjoyed them all. The chicken wings are and so are the chicken nachos. The Mac & cheese is the best Mac & cheese ive ever had from a restaurant. The service was standard and the wait time wasn't long at all. Most importantly it is clean in there. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

The food is really flavorful which makes it good. However, it was a long wait for the food I hope the next time it doesn't take so long. The guy that worked there was nice & moving as fast as possible. This place is more of pick up & go with your food not sit & eat.

I've been following this place on FB for years and finally tried it . . They did not disappoint! Definitely my new spot when I'm craving soul food. Order ahead for sure or you'll be waiting awhile. Food was hot & fresh upon pick up. The entrees come with white bread or 3 mini cornbread muffins. Cornbread was sweet & not super crumbly. Wings are HUGE & fried hard to perfection. They skin the fish before frying which for some reason is hard to find in Indy so I loved that. Nobody wants to be gnawing on fried fish skin. No pools of grease under the food which we appreciated. Stop by & try them out!

this place is pretty awesome! the portion sizes are large so you're def getting your moneys worth . i like they have a side called "cousins" , which is mac n cheese and sweet potatoes already mixed together . check their site for their current hours , as the hours listed on yelp aren't correct .. their hours change daily. you do have to order online or in store , they don't accept orders over the phone .

Don't judge this restaurant by its exterior and decor. It leaves a lot to be desired. We were greeted immediately and given a menu. We wanted to try a few different things. The loaded fries are very popular so we had to try those. Loved the shrimp steak fries. Seriously they were so good when you get a bite of everything flavor explosion. The fish was seasoned perfectly and the greens had a smoky flavor which I enjoyed. My kids enjoyed the chicken wings but didn't love the Mac and cheese. Overall it's a good deal for all you get. You have to try the fries.

Jimmie's has quickly become a favorite for me and my husband for fried chicken wing cravings! We usually order ahead for carry out. Including the 10 minute drive back home, the food is still always piping hot and fresh. I appreciate their attention to detail when packaging the food, nothing gets greasy or damp. Love the greens, and Mac n' cheese too. Never too salty, always perfectly prepared, no over cooked greens or noodles here! I can't wait to bring my mom here when she visits from California next week :)Don't forget to try the strawberry cake, it's a lovely ending to an excellent meal!

I like it! Being from Kentucky its always nice to find good soul food! Unique food combinations. Steak and shrimp fries delicious. Reasonable prices.

We ordered this for dinner last night using door dash. The fish and catfish were delicious and seasoned well. I had the greens and macaroni and cheese as sides and they were also delicious. The shrimp and steak fries were great also and a very large portion. I would definitely eat at this restaurant again.

Freindly and welcoming the minute I walked in. I ordered my dinner to go. While I was waiting a customer was informing on how good the food is......he was not lieng.....its pork free soul food....i had the Turkey chops w/ greens and Mac & cheese....very good ! Chops were moist with a very tasty crispy coating. I will deffinitly be back for more

The food is overpriced and so not worth it. The Mac and cheese wasn't baked, the fried fish was mushy. They had almost nothing they advertised on the menu... False advertisement at its best. No loaded potatoes ever. The place has no air conditioning. It's dangerously hot it there. They call Mac n cheese mixed with sweet potatoes "cousins" lol no... That's what greens and cabbage is. The cooks be dripping sweating around the food. They left a side item out of my meal which sucks when it's already overpriced!!! Don't eat there! You'll be VERY DISAPPOINTED! I damn near wonder who is keeping them in business atp...
