Jimmie's Dairy Bar

We decided to drive to Jimmie's Dairy Bar the other day. A tangerine cone dipped in chocolate was calling my name! It was a pretty day for a drive from Greenfield. Walked up and got our cones, which are very generous servings! Then we drove around back to take pictures. Of the tables I had mentioned in a previous review.There is inside eating, some outdoor eating and of course order at the walk up window and eat in your vehicle. The outdoor area is shady and a chance to get out and stretch your legs. Inside is retro and interesting.

I have loved this place since I was a kid. Great tangerine ice cream and the barbecue sandwiches make this establishment a must try. Definitely a hometown favorite!

This is one of our long standing, regular go to place for sandwiches and ice cream! They have many delicious ice cream concoctions. But for me, there is only one variety? And that is the tangerine ice cream . A simple cone is all I need! They have great hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and known for their Barbecue.Also old fashioned malts, shakes and sodas. We like to sit at the picnic tables in bCk during warm weather. Great service at the walk-up windows or drive thru.

Our Anderson neighbors raved about Jimmy's so we had to try. Great bbq pulled pork sandwich with special sauce. Not too hot, tangy and tasty. Service was fast and friendly Plenty of indoor seating.

I've been eating here since 1975. They support the community with baseball sponsors. I play with their name twice while growing up. Still make trips just to get the soft serve tangerine ice cream. Ols style walk-up window. The service is always great. Stop by and enjoy some history. The Coke cola still taste like the 80's.

I'm a super fan of local and old school and drive throughs and diners, so when I happened upon Jimmie's Dairy Bar in Pendleton, I had to try it! The signs everywhere say "Best BBQ in Indiana" so of course that is what I had to try. I got the bbq sandwich and a side of french fries. I did the drive through (had my dog in the car with me) and then ate in the parking lot. The drive through line did not take long at all. My food was hot. The fries were good but a little disappointing because in the sense that most were all short nubs. The bbq sandwich was good -- but, best in Indiana? hmmmm, not so sure about that. It was good but not great. A little smashed in my packaging. Also, it had mushrooms in it. This does not bother me, I like mushrooms, but I know many people do not like mushrooms. This wasn't really called out anywhere. I know if my sister had gotten a bbq sandwich with mushrooms in it, she would have completely thrown it out. I was there on a cold day and not in the mood for ice cream, so I did not have any of that.So, the ambiance is fun and the food is ok. Worth a try, just keep your expectations average.#ReviewsByRL

I stopped at Jimmie's Dairy Bar the other day and went through the drive-thru. I ordered a sloppy Joe sandwich, onion rings, tangerine ice cream, and a soft drink. The wait is always pretty long here. I really used to like coming here but the food was pretty lackluster the last couple times. The sloppy Joe was lukewarm and wasn't great. The onion rings had too much breading but were crunchy. The best thing about the stop was the tangerine ice cream as always. It tastes like a push up in soft serve form. I will definitely go back again for the ice cream and maybe next time try something on the menu I have not tried before.

Love Jimmie's, but the older lady that is the "manager" has the nastiest attitude. My family has been going to Jimmie's for over 30 years & never experienced such poor customer service from an employee. She was flat out rude & needs to find herself a new job ... certainly put a bad taste in our mouth after this last visit.

Was one of my favorite places to go. I loved their BBQ sandwiches and extra thick shakes. We just opened a to-go order with BBQ sandwiches to notice more buns than sauce. The amount of BBQ sauce looked like it was half of what we needed.

Terrible shake. They didn't even mix it. Put barely any chocolate in it and then didn't blend it together. What a waste.
