Jiallo's

The food was so good! I received the island jerk wings, fried plantain, jollof, & a beef patty. Mohammed took my order and was so helpful with my questions. The restaurant has a nice welcoming feel and feels like you're on an island. I will definitely be back!!

Delicious! You arrive, place your order at the counter, and you select your beverage out of the cooler. No alcohol available. You pay at the counter. They have tables for you to eat inside or you can take your food to go. All good arrives in to-go containers. I ordered the chicken curry dinner and chose 2 sides. I chose the cabbages and jollof rice. The amount of food and the price is very reasonable. It was perfectly seasoned! I plan to come back and take an order home for dinner n my way home. We had a large group and they took very good care of us. Definitely recommend!

The food tasted good, but for $24 I expected full ribs not half of the meat taken off the top of them. Also the chicken needed sauce. Luckily, the guy added some to the bag (no extra charge) after I saw the lack of sauce and made a comment to get more.

Food was delicious and pretty fast. It was made to order and fresh. No frills but well seasoned food. Casual ambiance with direct and honest service!

I did not know their was a Jamaican spot here, it's tucked away so it's easy to miss. I ordered the jerk chicken b/c they were out of lamb shanks. Muhammad was kind and said I would be back soon after trying my food. I think the dish was alright, I liked the plantain and my rice was okay. I would like to come back to try something else but the prices seem a bit high for the quality.

Stopped in one afternoon and was surprised that there was no one eating inside, even though it was before noon. They were just getting started for the day and putting out the jamaican meat patties. I had the goat curry lunch portion, and it was excellent. Served with cabbage and unfortunately their beans/rice was not ready so I made due with plain white rice which was just fine. It took about fifteen minutes to pull it together for carry out, which was fine. It was a generous portion and the goat was perfectly seasoned. There is another Jamaican place just a few blocks south of Jiallo's called Jamaican Style Jerk. I give the edge to Jiallo's on their goat curry over JSJ but you won't go wrong with either one of them. The meat pies looked great and look forward to trying one next time.

Amazing place. I will definitely be back.Jiallo's is run by people from Guinea. The food is rich and flavorful and the portions are generous.If you are looking for a slick place where some cheery blonde greets you and takes you to your table so you can see and be seen, this is not it.If you are looking for a simple place offering authentic, flavorful ethnic food that you won't find in too many other places in Indy, this is it.

I got the jerk chicken dinner with red beans and rice and cabbage. The jerk chicken was spicy and tasty. I enjoyed it. The cabbage was excellent just wish they gave more. The red beans and rice was okay but wasn't fresh or appealing. However, I would recommend this restaurant and I will return.

Food was great! Owner was very nice. On the pricier side but gives big portions so it evens out. Can't wait to go back.

If you're a foodie like me, you'll love this place! The menu has a fantastic selection of dishes, and we loved everything we tried. We only have good comments about the food and service. Service, Taste, Portion, and Pricing... Excellent! We are here often, yes, it's that good.
