Jarrety's Place

Was in town to visit some clients today Logged onto yelp app to see where my coworker and I could eat. This place had good reviews. Thought we would try it out. A+ on everything. Atmosphere , service and food was wonderful. You'll be very happy with this place.

It's a peculiar restaurant. For example, they served me a club sandwich on a subway type roll, rather than bread or toast. I'm 75 years old and they managed to surprise me. Most old guys are very difficult to surprise. The ambience is small town friendly. The servers are likable but not particularly well trained. They do a good enough job and their sweet attitudes makes it difficult to be critical of them. They get the job done. I hope I haven't discouraged anyone from giving them a try. You'll be fine as long as you specify that you'd like your sandwich on bread rather than a 4 inch thick sub roll. Go ahead, youll have a good experience.

Had a great first experience with Jarrety. Great menu, quick service. I enjoyed a toasted ham & cheese panini in tasty rosemary foccaccia bread. Melts in your mouth. Had a nice salad with a sweet & tangy dressing. Many great menu options. Decided to have a decadent butter toffee almond iced latte in lieu of dessert (only carrot cake in the case today) from their fabulous coffee bar. Many new employees working hard to earn their customers' returns. If I have to find a fault, I saw no visible covid practices. If there are any, they might publicize them-it'd be good for business confidence.

Seems like one of the nicest places in Rochester. Was very happening on a Saturday afternoon, it's kind of a combo coffee shop / restaurant / bar. The menu was mostly sandwiches, a lot to choose from but not a lot of customization. I had an Italian sandwich with chips which was good and surprisingly filling for a 6''. Service was just OK, had to ask a few times for refills. Prices were very reasonable, only $2.99 for kids meals.

What a delightful surprise and so much to love about this spot! First, I love a place who picks a concept and does it well. This is actually what led to a 5 star review. You would think this is a given, but...No tricks or surprise but exactly what it's supposed to be: a small town local eatery, in the heart of the square, that offers relevant food to its location in rural Indiana. Sandwhiches, paninis, wraps and such. All fresh and solid eats. A big surprise, they offered gluten free bread options and a few gf baked goods. It's tough to find this even in the city. An added bonus, they have a lovely selection of coffee beans and make a good cappuccino, coffee and other coffee drinks. It is immaculate inside with cheery customer service, as well. If you're in the area and want a coffee, breakfast or lunch, I definitely recommend them.

Got tacos and shrimp both were good tonight. I went to ask what they had for deserts and was told they have them in the cabinet on the other side. Then if I really wanted she would list them out. So I asked like what kinds and she briefly listed pies, cakes. I don't think she likes selling deserts. I mentioned to the owner / manager and she said the waitress was busy but if I wanted to wait she would check in a bit. I already waited 10 minutes for the first time I asked. Not waiting another 10 or more minutes. I told her I was out of there and no apology or care. Other waitresses did not pull this with me before. Will not be back if they treat customers this way. Don't go there if you are by yourself. Not had any trouble till tonight.

Stopped in on a frigid day for a late lunch with our daughter. She lives in a nearby town with few dining options. Wow were we pleased with her choice! Hubby got a stromboli, I ordered a hot Philly and daughter had a GF friendly salad with grilled chicken. All were flavorful and delicious. Our server knew the (expansive) menu well and was able to answer our questions. She was attentive, but didn't hover. What really impressed me was the employees were cleaning when they didn't have customers/orders to deliver. Tables were wiped, countertops, doors and windows and the bathroom was spotless and smelled like bleach! Kinda rare these days to feel confident that you're not going to pick up germs when going out, but have no fear - this place passes the test! It's in a cool old building that's gone through several transitions - at one time it was a hotel! There is another restaurant attached for evening dining. We'll be back sometime to try it out!

I had breakfast here a couple days ago and was very disappointed. It's nothing like it was before it changed hands. One of my eggs was broken also I ordered limp bacon and it came out crisp. The waitress never noticed.The cook surprised me by bringing me an egg that was cooked perfectly.

Not a good experience today. I was served an item that isn't on the menu, which I therefore didn't order. The staff was polite but didn't seem interested in correcting the situation on the bill. Apparently the place has secret sizes of items so I recommend you verify or even make the server look at what you're pointing at on the menu to ensure you get what you think you're ordering at the price you see by the item. Sad because the place is unique and the food is good. I won't be back for a while though based on this experience. I was particularly put off by the server that tried to put it back on me that it was somehow my fault that I ordered something I didn't know existed and isn't on the menu.

Good food, great service. Very nice location, clean and welcoming. Check out the Arlington House next door for dinner and drinks.
