Everything about this place rules. I love every single bartender - I am treated like family here each time I step in the door. Drinks are cheap and the company is priceless. It's got a welcoming and warm energy, and is a certified east side CLASSIC spot to put down a cold one (or 6). Plus they have karaoke every Wednesday which naturally brings unforgettable times. HIGHLY recommend stopping in if you haven't!

J Clyde's is definitely a dive bar, but that's part of its charm. It's a go-to spot for regulars who appreciate its laid-back, unpretentious vibe. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it an ideal place to unwind and enjoy a casual drink. If you're looking for a chill spot with a friendly crowd, J Clyde's is the place to be. Not to mention the prices are reasonably priced!

Of all the 10th street spots I really prefer J Clyde's the most. Vibrant neighborly feel and everyone is treated well. Oh and cheap drinks ain't bad either, with munchies like frozen pizza if you get to that point. I plan on continuing to come here when I need a cold one.

There are no cherries. No simple syrup. Usually no olives, either. There is a 10 year-old, dusty bottle of vermouth somewhere on the shelf however, if you must know... look, this isn't a cocktail bar. J Clyde's is an Historic neighborhood attraction--if by "attraction" you really mean, "most lovable dumpster on the planet." Its a dive bar. And I don't mean that in the new, hipster, outward-appearance sense of the word. I mean it in the everything-leaks, nothing-is-under-30-years-old, homeless-folks-pick-through-the-ashtray-out-front, and there-are-zero-plans-to-change-a-damn-thing-about-it sense of the word. Don't come here ironically. You won't have a good time. Do come here for cheap booze ($2 draft High Life and $3.50 well drinks) and a tight sense of neighborhood and community. Do come here for friendly service, inclusive atmosphere, and judgment-free safe space provided by the regular patrons and J Clyde's wonderfully curated staff of bad ass bartenders. Tl;dr: this spot is an all-time Beast Side favorite. You don't know this part of town until you know the folks at Clyde's. Come say hey, and bring your I.D. It is solely a bar and 21+, after all.

The crowd is entertainment enough in this hole in the wall, and I say that with the best intentions. You never know what conversation you may strike up here. A great tiny neighborhood bar with no frills. Excellent jukebox selections and bartenders. Food limited to heat up pretzels & chips, but they can offer some great suggestions on local restaurants with delivery.

There really isn't much to say that other reviewers already haven't. J Clyde's is one of the east side's numerous quality bars. It is small, and the "serve food" requirements they legally have to serve probably barely pass muster. During holidays or other days, they may have a pot-luck food thing going on that bartenders and customers contribute to. There's a few beers on tap, a bunch of bottles, and the drinks are stiff. Go here if you want to relax.

Drove by on a Saturday night and decided to stop for a cocktail. They have $1.75 corndogs, chips and cheap drinks. A good neighborhood dive bar.

My boyfriend & I have been living in Little Flower for nearly two years. J. Clyde's is definitely our go-to neighborhood bar. We love the bartenders & it's just a unique place to be! Ashley & Jackie are the coolest bartenders! There's also a TouchTunes jukebox & they play movies or live sports most of the time.
