Stopped by after an SOS on Facebook from an Irvington area friend who said the store was having some struggles this summer with business. I like to support independent businesses and especially booksellers, so even though I live a good 20 minutes away, I drove down to buy something.I don't have any real use for record albums, and there's some craft jewelry and Tarot stuff and other things that were of interest to the numerous other customers in the store but not to me. But the way I saw people thumbing through and buying LPs, it seems like they had some really good, eclectic stuff. The guy in line in front of me bought four records by himself. They have some book genres that are more in my area of taste and ended up purchasing three novels, one of which I found out when I got home that I already have. Oh well. Worth it, even the hardcover I bought was only $5. I enjoyed my visit here and would definitely come back periodically to check on new inventory. I have pretty narrow tastes when it comes to what I read, something that's of no fault of any bookstore that doesn't have piles and piles of novels by Michael Connelly, Lee Child, and Elizabeth George to sell.

Irvington Vinyl & Books is a cozy, peaceful and unique used bookstore and I'm so glad it's part of the bookstore community in Indy. I love coming here on a weekend morning to browse what's new in the record selection and picked up a Beatles record to add to my collection on my last visit. I also appreciate that they have a small new selection to keep up with all the recent releases. Usually there's a record playing and incense burning when I'm there which makes for a lovely ambiance. I'm so sad to hear about the passing of the bookstore cat Violet, who was a highlight of each bookstore visit.

Excellent locally owned vinyl and book store with a very large selection in spite of its small size. They have a bit of everything including first editions, vintage magazines, children's books, tarot and oracle decks, jewelry, local art, and books by local authors. The owner was warm and engaging, and wrote some recommendations for me based on what I'd purchased. It's out of the way for me, but I'll make a conscious effort to come back. Irvington vinyl is worth it!

I decided to come out on small business Saturday to support one of my favorite places. If you haven't been to Irvington you need to visit soon. It's a charming town east of downtown Indy and it's full of great places.Irvington vinyl and books is one of them. They are tucked into a quite street next to the gamer store, the front part has different selections of books and I the selection is vast, there's new, old, young adult, and Indy mags. The back part holds all the records and cassettes, the selection is also very broad, so there is something for everyone.Visit this store if you can, you'll find something to take home and support something small and independent.Look out for the cute store cat as well!

This is such a wonderful shop! I visit for the books, so I'm going to speak to that side of things. There are books packed into so many shelves throughout the shop! They have new books and used ones, all peppered throughout the building. It's cozy inside, with string lights and a little seating area with a couch and chair--and the bed for Violet, the fluffy shop cat. Honestly, Irvington Vinyl & Books is pretty much everything you want a little local bookshop to be. Well worth a visit to find your next read--or to ask them to purchase a book for you, if it's not there already.

This is easily one of the best vinyl and bookstores that I have ever been in. They have an eclectic mixture of vinyl and books. They are still in their "soft opening" so things are not organized very well. But, it didn't matter. There three rooms to discover new and used books and vinyl. They had a great mix of used and new and their prices were very fair. I will definitely be back next time I am in Indy.

Great, kitchy place that's more about albums than anything but totally cool. Not a huge collector but loved shopping the selections...

I love this place! They have an eclectic mix of books, vinyl, gifts, art, and more. There are things here you can't find at other used book and record shops. Even better, they are a welcoming environment for all groups. I like and respect their principles and values. Better yet, they have a shop kitty!
