Iron Skillet

For a truck stop, the food was fantastic.Large portions that reminds you of home. The waitress was also friendly and gave wonderful recommendations

Ordered Nachos; restaurant was not very busy; took 30 minutes to receive the meal: arrived cold.

Staff were arguing food was cold dude was it like you we asked for staff not very friendly place is dirty and dusty.

I had bookmarked one of these on Indy's north side based on Ken's, Wanda's and Erin's reviews. But this one is located at the I-70 exit if you are going to the Exotic Feline Rescue Center in Centerpoint. We had visited that facility in the morning and we were ready for lunch. I was not prepared for what I thought was just going to be another "truck stop" restaurant. I don't know if all Iron Skillet's are this way but this one had a an awesome salad bar.So I ordered a one trip deal to complement my meal and regretted not getting the all you can eat because they also had a lot of other hot food buffet style that I could have easily filled up on. Plus there were small dessert options so you try different ones. The salad bar section had way more choices that what I am used to.The decor was updated and not worn out. The servers very friendly and helpful. So now I'm a new fan of Iron Skillet, particularly this one.

Over priced and service was horrible. Food was not good. Lame buffet. Seems like they hate being here.

I've never been impressed with the Iron Skillet. The food is always cold, no matter what you get or what time you come in. We decided to use the 25% off coupon we got in the mail. My husband ordered steak and eggs. I ordered an omelette and grits. Our total was $30 (before the coupon). All of our food was cold. My husband's steak was bloody. My omelette was really good... but it didn't have cheese in it. The server was very friendly. Just a warning to those who decide to eat here.

My husband and I were traveling for work, necessary as truck drivers. We have learned that Iron Skillet is one of the better travel center chain restaurants. We pulled into this Petro in Brazil and went into the Iron Skillet. This was a visit that didn't disappoint. I had the chicken fried steak, it was accompanied by real mashed potatoes. The gravy was tasty. All of this along with the usually well turned out salad bar. My husband had the chicken fingers, he said the breading was excellent, light and not greasy. The waitress and hostess were both helpful and friendly! We are becoming frequent Skillet fliers, lol. Highly recommend the Brazil, IN location.

So far so good, the salad bar is limited but they have what I always get!The waitstaff are very lazy just like the lady who's supposed to be working the fuel desk, only problem is she and they will disappear for 10 to 20 minutes at a time not to be found anywhere!Found the fuel desk lady outside smoking, saw her peeking inside the window while I stood at the fuel desk before coming to the restaurant.The restaurant looks nice and clean, had to wait to get in, gaggle of waitstaff standing in the entrance talking to off duty waitstaff as they ate.

The food is good, hashbrowns were super crispy which i liked. Chocolate milk was mix which isn't to good. sanitary wise it's about an 8/10 not to bad especially since the building seems older it's just dusty. great spot for truckers or travelers. service was quick, waitress was kind

The food was amazing! Love the small town environment and how the waitresses don't over do it like most other restaurants. Very good food, normal acting but friendly staff, and hearty helpings at a good price
