The Iris Gardens is PRIME location in brown county!! Tucked in behind the mineral and rock shop, expect nothing but good energy The rooms are beyond cozy and have great amenities! We will be back here every time we visit this perfect little town.*Brown county tip* There aren't many late night dining options. Take advantage of the mini fridge and microwave at the Iris gardens and bring some hot pockets or pizza rolls in case you get the 11:00 pm munchies like me!

I love this place. I stay here every chance I get. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and right in the middle of town. So you don't have to go too far to get anything to eat or anything else you need. I recommend this place for anyone who's coming to Nashville Indiana and plans to spend at least one night.

My stay here was amazing, from the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out. I stayed here for the weekend with my boyfriend, it was so cozy, quiet, and in perfect walking distance from everything in town. The hospitality was amazing, and I could not recommend this place more. Looking forward to coming back for our next trip!!!

I was very pleased with Iris Gardens. I really didn't know what to expect when I made the reservation, but I knew it was in the middle of everything so I gave it a shot. We thought it was a super cute cottage. We had the Couples Cottage. It was very cozy and warm which was great since it was cold outside. You are right across the street from Big Woods Pizza basically. Perfect location. I will definitely stay here again. The shower was probably the smallest shower I've ever been in and I've been on 6 cruise ships, but besides that I can't really say anything negative. There was a wood burning stove inside that we really didn't need, a cozy bed and a nice sitting front porch. Loved it!

This my first time in Brown County/Nashville IN, I made the reservation on the spur of the moment. I can't comment on the other accommodations but the unit I stayed in #9 is very nice. The owner, whom I spoke with when making the reservation said that it is a new unit. It is located in a little courtyard with the Rock Shop, ice cream and art gallery. I have been able to walk to everything! It's a great location! The owner, her daughter and son have all been very helpful. I would absolutely recommend this place and would return.

Love this place! Right in the heart of the area. Plenty of activity and shops to visit. The cottage needs a little TLC, but I think the rustic vibe is what makes the area so great! Nothing beats Brown County! Can't wait to visit again.

My wife and I stayed at the Iris Gardens in the "Couples Cottage" for a Saturday night away from reality in Mid December. The experience was absolutely incredible. Located right in the heart of downtown Nashville, we were able to walk everywhere. We did lunch across the street at Big Woods Pizza and Brewery, and dinner down the street at the Artists Colony Inn. After much deliberation, I chose the Iris Gardens because of the location, price and feel. We were looking for a rustic atmosphere which still provided our expected amenities. We settled on the Couples Cottage because there were only two of us, and the size was perfect. We also really wanted a wood stove in the room, which the cottage provided. Upon arriving the check in process took less than five minutes, and we were personally walked to our room by the owner to show us around and answer any questions. We were also provided with a duraflame to light in the wood stove. Our room had a cable tv with all of the usual channels, but it also provided very rustic and unique furniture which added to the terrific ambiance. Overall, I would highly recommend staying with the Iris Gardens Cottages & Suites; this will not be our last time there.

Iris Gardens and Cottages are in great location! Owners are very nice. The mattresses aren't comfortable and the decor is very random but the places are perfect for a short getaway.

I can in good conscience only give this place one star. It's conveniently located so you can walk to the shops and restaurants, but that's the only good thing going for Iris Gardens. The website photos are very deceiving. Our cottage was sandwiched between a rock shop and an art studio, with a BBQ restaurant behind ( I kept looking for the fireplace bc of the smoke smell...) and an ice cream shop a few yards away. Noisy beyond belief, and we had to keep our door locked at all times bc folks kept mistaking the cottage for another store!! Ugh!!!This place is NOT wheelchair accessible, and we had to lug our suitcases down a steep flight of stairs. Not cool. Worst of all- free wifi??!! How about ZERO reception, unless we stood outside (on one foot, holding our phones and iPads like divining rods! I will definitely return to Brown Co/Nashville, In, but I will do better research on where to stay. So disappointed.

We loved this place. It is kind of rustic and the owners don't hide it. Our place wasn't exactly plush and it had an old TV, but it was fine. They were actually in the process of updating it. It is in the middle of EVERYTHING, there was easy parking, it was great. If you are picky, no, you won't like it, but the thing is, the prices are in line with the state of the place. If you want something more plush, great, you're going to pay a lot more for it.The check-in lobby is an art studio, they also run one of those kids rock mines and there's a snack shop. It is literally fifty steps to the brewery's pizza shop. In short, we had a blast staying here because it was so lively. If you want someplace quiet, and secluded, this is not the place for you. If you want to have an easy good time, it is.
