So I come here to pick up fresh bread for my mom for her dinner parties. They are always fresh and available. Best naan. I didn't realize they serve fresh food as well. I tried the araisy (#15) drink here. They made it in front of me. Everything is fresh. They don't always use gloves though. I will be back to try the beef pastrami sandwich. They have tons of fresh meat for sale. Everything is halal as stated on the signage outside. They have beef bacon. In the heart of the international district on 38th st.

After eating at Al-Rayan Restaurant next door I had to go and get me some Wild Cucumber pickles they are really good but different from other pickles. I will be back to get more. We just walked around looking at it all. Something you don't see every day is Camel milk. Never had it and don't know much about it. The fresh bread looked amazing it was so soft. Lots of spice and pasta and rice.

This is by far the cleanest international grocery that I have visited. They appeared to be renovating/expanding during my visit. Each shelf was immaculate. I was on a quest for rice noodles, which they did not carry. They specialize in ingredients for middle eastern and Indian foods (but not Asian). I was excited to find semolina flour for making pasta at a great price. They also have a vast selection of beans, rice and flours. I picked up some fava beans. There is a large meat counter at the back of the store with fresh meat. They also carry an assortment of fresh breads. Tons of fresh dates greet you at the check out. The staff is super friendly and efficient. The store is located on the south side of 38th Street in an older strip mall. There is plenty of parking. I'll be back.

Our own little middle eastern bazaar tucked in Indy's International Marketplace neighborhood. I had no idea this business existed until we toured our way through several markets in the area with the International Marketplace Coalition. Upon entering the business you will notice it's rough and somewhat gritty vibes by American standards (interior and exterior). Once you soak this in as being an authentic spot, you'll find aisles filled with fun items like teapots, packaged food products, printed plastic tablecloths and pastries like baklava that are made next door. I recommend pairing a visit to this business with lunch or dinner at neighboring restaurant, Al Rayan Restaurant. Both are located in the same strip. For those looking for hard to find middle eastern spices, this is the spot for you. Take a quick stroll through the Yelp photos of the business for a better taste of what they have to offer.

There is no better bread baked in Indianapolis - save for Amelias. Walk to the back of this small market and to the left of the (halal) meat case are shelves of freshly baked pitas, injera, and large fluffy flat bread to die for. All meat is high quality. Goat particularly and perfect for a curry. Spices and other middle eastern foods are better priced here. Great and friendly service and very helpful to the uninitiated.

I loved this store! Fresh fresh meat, lamb meat. Every part of the lamb, even the Head!! Which i bought, cuz where eles you going to find one?! Ha! Spices, oh my, everything common and everything for those recipes you thought you couldnt make because of the odd spice. Such beautiful dresses too. Pots and gorgeous coffee/tea kettles. Ugh. Too much, i loved it all. Definitely need to visit again.

I don't understand why anyone would criticize the appearance of any business in this area, considering this part of town (with regard to businesses) is the definition of diamonds in the rough/don't judge a book by it's cover. Definitely feels like the Twilight Zone over there, but this is where you find the best non-American food in Indianapolis!! All of my favorites, in fact.Anyway, I adore this market. I don't eat meat, so I can't speak for that department, but the employees are very sweet and I can get good dry bulk goods, cardamom, rose water, teas, et cetera. It's a tiny place, but it has what it needs and it's extremely affordable. I buy all of my spices, that I wouldn't find at your average grocer, from here (among other things). Support a small business! P.S. the homemade pastries by the register are fire, definitely scoop some up when you check out.

This is a must visit on the West side. It's on the SW corner of the intersection of West 38th and Georgetown Road. The owner, Sophi (or Sophia) is super friendly and a real character (in a NICE way). They have a very popular meat department with lots of fresh meats. This is Indian/Pakistani and Middle-Eastern. A lot of Muslim immigrants from all over the world, including Africa, shop the Halal meat department for goat/lamb and custom cuts of beef.Good assortment of bulk rice (regular, Basmati, and Thai Jasmine), flours, and other grains. Good assortment of beans, spices, and oils. BIG 5 gallon containers of cooking oil. When I lived on the West side, I used to shop here for flour, baclava, dates, figs, olive oil.Large assortment of crackers, snacks, candies. This store is not as big as International Bazaar around the corner on Lafayette Road, but still worth a visit. And this store is open Mondays I.B. on Laf Rd is (or used to be) closed Mondays.

I went here for the first time and was delighted. The food court is great and so are the stalls. The grocery section has entire isles dedicated to specific countries. I am exited and will bring a cooler next time so that I can do more grocery shopping.
