We had a great time here. I took my 4 and 2 year old. There were lots of lifeguards on duty paying very close attention and took their jobs seriously. The kids area looked to be updated with a toddler slide, and the big slide was fast and fun!!! I will definitely be back. They are open even in the winter and it was a good day to go today because it was slightly raining out. 4 stars because they have a good court with nothing in it.

My daughter & 2 grandsons are there today. 30 mins AFTER arriving, the entire place was made to take a 20 minute break. No reasons given. Seems like every time a child splashes, a life guard blows the whistle. The big slide is also closed today. Life guards are yelling & you can't even hear or understand them. We won't be going back ANYTIME soon. This place used to be fun for the kids. But come on now. It's a pool. Let the kids play. Goodness

We attended a birthday party here. Was a great space at the front to be in and you can purchase food to bring in. I thought that the water park was really nice. The kiddos had such a great time. Everything seemed clean and safe. Will come back again!

Eh -- Indy Island is OK. I'll start with the positives: 1. There were always at least half a dozen lifeguards circling the perimeter of the pool and water area. They were constantly walking back and forth, checking things out, so I always felt like my kids were safe.2. This indoor aquatic center is open year-round, so kids have a place to splash, wade and swim even when it's freezing outside. The day I visited, the water temperature was nice and warm, and the ambient air temp was just as inviting.3. It's really inexpensive. Prices range from $4 to $6 dollars depending on age and the day you visit. Kids 2 and younger are free.4. This is a small indoor water park, but it's big enough to have fun for hours. Now for the negatives:1. This indoor water park is really old and in need of an update, and it shows. The playground structures in the water area are visibly rusted and look dirty.2. The lock to the bathroom / changing room I was in DID NOT LOCK. It goes without saying that their changing rooms should have working locks. I had to stand by the door to block it, hoping that no one would try to come in! It also didn't have a trash can, for some reason.3. The hallway to the changing room was super dark and didn't have any lights. Pretty much the last place you want to be changing in is a dark and creepy room. Fix the lightbulbs! This is another simple thing that could be fixed if they kept up the place. 4. They don't allow outside food or drinks inside the aquatic center. You can buy food and drinks at their snack bar, but when I was there (on a weekend), it was closed. Not sure what they expect visitors to do with a closed snack bar during operating hours.I like that Indy offers places like Indy Island so kids can enjoy swimming and playing in the water indoors. But this place is in need of some TLC in order to compete with some of the other indoor aquatic centers.

Positive note the lifeguards are constantly moving & scanning the pool. However there was one particular lifeguard that was just on a power trip & made our experience miserable. Singling our kids out & ignoring other kids doing the same thing (even in the lobby, ignoring a large group of kids that were yelling & kicking a ball but when it rolled over to our kids & they kicked it back to them he yelled at our kids but didn't say a thing to the other kids). Won't be going back as they have such poor customer service & rude staff. Also half the things were out of order. The main play area was out of order and the hot tub. The only had the lap pool open. The floor drains in the locker rooms weren't working & there was a 5ft puddle of nasty water.

Need a low-cost alternative to other more expensive Indy water parks, you can find it at Indy Island! Looking for someplace to take the kids all year round for a low reasonable fee (prices range from 2 bucks to 5 bucks depending on peak vs. non peak). From babies to older children, you'll love Indy Island. There is a wading pool area complete with a playground system and geysers. And, a giant 80 feet slide!! Whoo-hoo. Plus, there are 3 lanes for swimming and a hot tub for adults.I enjoy playing with the kids, or just sitting by the side of the pool and enjoying watching the kids have the time of their life. It's also a great place to throw a birthday party! If you have kids, and looking for local fun - find it at Indy Island. You don't have to drive 60 miles to have a good time!

Ever since I was a child, my parents have brought me here whenever I wanted to swim. Every time I went here, I enjoyed every moment of it, going down the slides were an amazing time for me. The lifeguards are really nice and any time I was in trouble they were there to save me. They recently went through a remodel a couple years ago and the new slide is amazing. The motor was busted last summer but now it's back up and running and I went with my friends just for old times sake and the experience is still as good if not better. The environment is so enjoyable and the water is warm. The price is very inexpensive and I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. I would say though that you do need to bring your own locks because they don't have any or rent them out to people.

fun idea and fun place, but hours are constantly unreliable and changing. (constant closures for various reasons, sometimes they notify the public and sometimes you just get there and they're closed)

Pluses - it's a pool with plenty of lifeguards.MAJOR NEGATIVES - it's open for very limited hours, especially during the week and something is always broken (never seen the whirlpool working). ALWAYS some stray debris in the pool - hair, pieces of barrettes or toys, too many broken showers and most people don't even use them, at least not the women, no posted rules for pool etiquette. Out of the way location. Now that it's closed for major renovation, maybe it will be a better resource for this community. As is, It would be better if Indy Parks had an arrangement with Warren Central to share their pool, since it's more centrally located.
