My boyfriend surprised me with a Indy Fused Glass class for my birthday! We've been watching Blown Away and have wanted to try it. Glass fusing is a great first step to glass blowing to understand the element of glassThe owner is awesome and very patient with answering questions! You have a ton of options to choose from and really able to make it your own. You can explore different types of glass, textures, colors, etc. I would totally recommend taking a class here!

Amazing experience and the result was a beautiful piece. I signed up for a class as an activity with low-covid risk (small class sizes, large studio, and masks) and I've always wanted to try it. The owner/artist/teacher was great. Very hands on without being overly hovering. It was really cool to have so many options both in what we made and the colors and styles to choose from. The class was listed as two hours but we were not rushed in any way which I really appreciated. I also learned a lot about glass fusing! We will definitely come back to make something else- it was fun and our projects turned out great. This would definitely be something fun to do with a group of friends or coworkers.

We were walking around the Circle City Industrial Complex, with our kiddos and the owner was kind enough to let us look around before they opened for a class. She was so kind and showed us options for classes, and we looked at some of the retail options. They had some beautiful garden blown glass flowers, in different sizes. I picked up two, and she was generous enough to give us a flattened wine bottle as a spoon rest. She also showed the kids some of the glass shards and beads used to make other items, and let them each pick a little treasure- stole their hearts! I look forward to check out a class soon.

Preparation may have been good here. I came in for a 2 hour class not really knowing what I was going to be doing or making. Meredith, the only employee, is such a positive, can-do personality, she inspires without over directing. After going over safety protocols, she explained the basic procedures for cutting the glass. All kinds of glass colors and shapes and things are available to use. Wax paper "boats" hold the glass material nicely. Same boat you may have gotten to hold your chili cheese coney dog in at the county fair. Very nice work space and safe. I thought the glass would be more shattering, but really it's more like snapping. I ended up making a bug, but will have to wait a few days before the bug is "fused" or melted down in the kiln. She only has so much kiln space. 2 hours went by really fast, it's so fun being creative. Meanwhile, over 100 artists rent spaces in this complex and I decided it was time to check out more from this terrific part of town.

THIS was such a fantastic experience-my boyfriend and I went for Valentine's Day, and it was such a pleasurable experience. For $50 a person, we got 2 hours of lessons. Which consisted of 15 minutes of instructions and the rest of the time she just let us ask questions when needed. My boyfriend made a small tray, and I made a vase. Literally the sky is the limit. She also included drinks for us, and showed us around the rest of the complex-where other artists reside. Overall, I would give Indy Fused Glass 10 stars if I could. One of the happiest, core memories with my boyfriend happened here.
