There are a few stores in Indianapolis and adjoining areas stocking frozen food, groceries, snacks, household, and staple items from the Indo-Pak subcontinent. We found this store a good place for Indian groceries and sweets, especially for their samosas. It is not very organized but that's typical of most Indian grocery stores. It looks like a popular store because there were many customers busy buying the foodstuff. The store has a wide selection of spices and Indian ethnic food. However, the variety of vegetables were limited. It is highly recommended to check expiry dates. Our favorite items were samosa chat, paneer paratha, and pani puri. Occasionally, we tried their Indian sweets and found them fresh and flavorsome. The staff is helpful and friendly. For any event requiring sweets/snacks in bulk, an order can be placed with them.

One stop for all you Indian grocery needs. They serve fresh meals as well. Call ahead if time to pick up. It takes a while. Over all this place is easy to get to. You find almost everything. Items are fairly priced and similar to any Indian grocery chain. I go here all the time. Last week tried their Chole Bhature... wouldn't say pretty darn good but decent enough. Staff is pretty friendly and will help you find what you need. They also have a new store in Cincinnati as well in the West Chester area. Haven't tried but they have house prepped Indian sweets too. I would say go check it out..you might find something you like to ho back again!!

Have you ever had food somewhere and felt the cook put in his/her heart and soul to make the food taste good - that's how i feel when i eat here. If you are craving for some home made Indian Punjabi food you needn't think twice. The hot paneer parathas, ghobhi, aaloo, mooli parathas just take me back home! Snacks like bhel puri, aaloo tikki, samosa tikki are very well made. And the Samosa's - there's always a queue for them. You get free awesome tasting Jalebi with the Thali! :)

I was hopeful when I saw that Greenwood actually had a couple of Indian grocery stores, this being one of them. There is a line of ready-to-eat Indian Fare that we really like to buy for those "spur of the moment" dinners or workday lunches and we hoped to find it here. We did not. We were warmly greeted at Indian Bazaar, but the dimly lit space and unusual smell turned us off immediately. I know ethnic groceries can sometimes have a peculiar odor, but I don't typically find it unpleasant, just different. We made a quick go'round and after not finding anything we couldn't live without, departed. I guess we are just a little spoiled by our neighborhood store, Bhaarat, where the shelves are neatly arranged, the stock is decent and we can see things clearly.

I walked in to this grocery store feeling a little nervous since I normally do not cook Indian food and didn't want to look dumb. but I was greeted by a very kind gentleman behind the cash register and he totally helped me find everything I needed!!! He was so nice, I am definitely returning.

What a cute little shop nestled inside this local Indian grocery! Not only was the establishment clean and super organized, but also had clear pricing and friendly staff. My roommate and I were on a quest to shop for Indian attire, and we definitely found what we were looking for here. We had a helpful sales lady who wanted nothing more than to share her culture with us (ulterior motives, schmulterior motives) and play dress up with us. In the end, we left with satisfied purchased, as well as custom size charts so we knew what fit us if we happened to go to another shop. Great hospitality, affordable pricing, guaranteed return.

The lady at the check out counter was super rude. She looked angry when I brought my groceries to the front and when I placed them a couple feet away from her, she stared at me and waited for me to push them right to her. I waited for the receipt but she just stared at me and when I asked she just looked at me and started grabbing the next customer's groceries to check them out
