The dining area is spotless! The staff are welcoming and address guests as friends. The food was delicious and they come to check on you fairly often. Your drink will never run dry! We opted for the buffet, in order to try more items. So good and generous portions. Will definitely be back!

Our first experience with Indian food. Pleasantly surprised. Butter chicken is delicious. I could eat a lot of the garlic naan. Nice place. Very new and shiny. Attentive service. I'd recommend the mild for anything. Just enough heat to make it right. There's a few other places we're going to try for comparison. I'll keep you posted. We will go back.

Fantastic experience! Definitely recommend! My cousin was in town and specifically asked me to take her out for Indian food. India Bistro is the highest rated Indian restaurant in this area, so of course, I had to check it out. Heads up: Be sure to go to their actual website to check for hours and see if takeout might be your best option. They have limited staff right now, so their hours are limited and they're limiting dine-in service. I was kinda nervous about this so I almost didn't come, but I'm so glad I gave it a shot. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family. The mother took our order and I think we were checked on by two of her daughters. I overheard her saying that her husband is the owner/chef/cook. We had the samosas, garlic naan, butter chicken, chicken saag, and a mango lassi. My cousin loved it all and so did I. We ordered everything medium, which was perfect for both of us. Those samosas were probably the best I've ever had. They were seasoned to perfection. Everything else was so delicious. I truly can't wait to return!

Couldn't miss the return of the HurryCurry weekend lunch buffet! I love the variety because everything is so good I can never decide on just one entree. If you're not familiar with Indian food, it's great way to try different dishes. This is comfort food. Fresh ingredients and warm, flavorful spices make it crave worthy. This family owned business will treat you like one of its own. Everyone is helpful and friendly and strives to ensure your dining experience is a pleasant one.

Will absolutely be back. Tried India Bistro for a carry out order after reading all of the reviews. This food lived up to the hype! We did an order of butter chicken, tikka masala and 2 orders of garlic naan. Even after driving home, food was steaming hot and delicious! Naan pieces were large, 2 pieces per order. Food portions were generous, enough to have dinner/lunch the next day. The woman on the phone was extremely kind, repeating back the order to ensure it was right. Staff was friendly and appreciative upon pick up. This will be our new go-to Indian food restaurant!

I was in the area for a meeting and looked up the nearest Indian Restaurant. India Bistro came up so I paid them a visit. Upon walking in the first thing I noticed is that while it's a sit-down restaurant it's counter ordering. Unique but thats fine. I ordered my food, paid my bill and waited.A little while later the food came out and was pleasant...not the most amazing Indian Food I've ever eaten but certainly above average. What set this place apart for me personally is the service and the people ( owners ) working there. I literally felt like family and the greeting and conversation I received while there was some of the most genuinely kind and warm interactions I've ever received in a restaurant.I hope these people do well and survive these uncertain times. Based on my interaction with them they deserve it.

AMAZING! This was the best Indian food I have had in a long time. Ordered Saag Paneer, plain naan, and warm chai tea ...mmmmmmmm! To make it even better was the lovely owner who helped with food suggestions and was truly just the friendliest person. I highly recommend this place, and that was just from my short walkin for a to go order. P.s. they offer a buffet during holidays, and even though I'm limiting my in restaurant experiences, it's good to know they are following safety measures with masks, sanitation, and a glass-guard over the buffet food with a counter server style buffet (vs. a patron walk up and serve themselves).

tl;dr - Long wait times for dine in but amazing food. Recommend take out. When my husband and I were in Plainfield for some errands we wanted to make sure we took the time to try this place - we had heard some really good things! When you first pull up you aren't even sure if it's open...and it's the same way when you walk in. The place was empty and no one was behind the counter. Someone finally came out and had us sit and took our order and then the wait began. From what we could see it seemed that there was only one employee who was working both the dining room, the phone, and the deliveries and we didn't hear back from her in so long we weren't sure if we were even going to be served. My husband finally asked and a few minutes later delicious and steaming how food was put in front of us. The malai kofta was super delicious. It was my first time trying it so I don't know how it compares to other restaurants but I would definitely recommend it. My husband had the lamb biryani and he said the lamb was very tender and flavorful. He also ordered his "hot" and he was so thrilled that it was actually spicy! Many times he doesn't even feel that Thai Hot is hot!We will definitely order from here again but probably won't dine in.

They did not include rice with chili chicken and gobi Manchurian which are heavy sauce based meals. Super small portions for the money. Garlic naan was pretty good, thin though. Uber delivery was $35 without tip. Expensive meal for the size of the food and lack of rice. Overall flavor was good.
