The portion sizes are huge! This South Indian restaurant in a strip mall in Castleton Mall area will not leave you hungry. Serving the dishes family style is easy as they provide you with big empty white plates. The menu is large and customizable on spice level, so everyone can find something they enjoy. There are several vegetarian options, desserts, and appetizers. Masala Chai is available. All of the servers put in a lot of effort to make sure we were satisfied: checking on spice levels after we got our meal, splitting up the bill at the end carefully, anticipating to-go box needs, etc.Free parking is available in a large surface lot.

An authentic Indian spot -- unassuming from the outside, but the food speaks for itself. We dined in and loved it, but it's also a great spot for takeout. Quick, friendly service and delicious dishes that hit the spot.

Trying to find good Indian around Indy has proven challenging. So I will start by saying that our food was 4/5 stars. It was very good, tasted fresh, and came in large portions. It was a little different than what I'd had before with big chunks (1"+) of red onion and bell pepper, but I enjoyed it. We came in for dinner and realized the seating is limited and quite casual. You are offered bottled water and order at the front. I'd seen the prices on Yelp, which I now realize must have been outdated, and didn't pay much attention past that. But when we went to checkout and realized my husband and I had just eaten a $70 meal....I was a bit shocked. We both had a regular combo with chicken, some extra naan, and one can of soda. I'm just not sure if I'd return. There are many other options with nice table service and upscale ambience for this price.

Hyderabad House is a takeout staple in my house, but today we decided to dine in for lunch. While the food travels well, there's nothing better than their veggie samosas fresh out of the fryer--so good that I forgot to grab a photo of them!Portions are huge and filling. My boyfriend and I split a regular size boneless chicken biryani plus garlic naan and still come away with enough for at least another meal each every time. One of these days I'd love to see what the family size Biryani looks like!Atmosphere is clean and modern but doesn't have a ton of character to it. Service is attentive and our food came out hot and fresh much faster than I expected.

Just to paint a picture of how much I love this place my last two work trips to Indianapolis have been based around staying next door to this place at Embassy suites. These guys are amazing. Food is on point and so unique. Southern Indian food isn't something I've had a lot of and now I'm obsessed. Favorite dishes include the Andhra chicken, chicken 65 and chicken lollipop. They aren't afraid of spice when asked which is amazing as some places hold back. You will not be disappointed!

This place was a Bollywood horror show.Mixed grill was SO DRY. Meats were way overcooked.Idli Sambar was also not great. Sambar was too thick.Vada Sambar was tolerable. Manchurian Paneer was also awful. The paneer was WAY overcooked as well. The flavor was decent enough, but the hard paneer made it terrible. The Western desserts they make courtesy of being in a former Paradise Bakery were the best thing by far...sad.You cannot have a million things on a menu (especially an Indian one) and expect any of them to be any good. Cut it way down HH.You all can do better. I know you can.

Vegetarians!!! So many options! Like, half the menu is vegetarian! I went with one of the vegetarian paneer dishes, some garlic naans, and veggie samosas. Everything was delicious! I would eat everything I ordered again. The chutney with the samosas was a bit spicy in the best way. My two suggestions for the business: - no bottled water. I assume this isn't a full-time thing, but we used bottled water instead of normal water. - the menu is not at all descriptive, so be ready to google some items, but I like the experience Great time, okay prices, tasty food!

Pros: Flavorful and delicious food. Items we tried - chicken hakka noodles, chicken lollipop, gongura chicken, chicken monagadu, different types of chicken and goat biryani. All these items hit the spot. Multiple TVs to watch games! Friendly staffLots of seating available. Pretty huge place. Cons: Extremely extremely slow service. Haven't experienced such slow service ever. Also, I wouldn't recommend trying their Chilli chicken.

Hyderabad House has been on my "to do" list for a while. I was fascinated by the concept of a Biriyani restaurant and I love Indian food so it was with great anticipation I made the trip to Castleton. The restaurant is busy and cheerful. I had heard that they have a great buffet but the pandemic shut that option down. My party was seated and presented with a large menu of Indian dishes and Biriyani options.I was thrilled to see dosas on the menu. As one of my favorite Indian dishes, it was hard to choose one but we decided to get the Masala dosa. It was so good, perfectly flavored and loaded with potato filling. For entrees we got the Paneer Biriyani and Paneer Tikka Masala. Both were excellent and huge portions. We all took home more food than we were able to eat. (Note: the leftovers were even better the next day). One suggestion I would make to management is to take a renewed look at their service. If I had not known much about Indian food, I would have had a hard time getting more information. The servers were so busy that they spent very little time at each table and it took quite a while to get our check. Our food was delivered to two other tables before it made it to ours adding to an overall feeling of confusion. So if you want really good food and know what you want, this place is great. You won't go away hungry, I will definitely go back.
