Cool brewery in Northside across from Urban Artifact. Having a pint of their experimental brew, Finest Brew. An English strong ale and a pint of Haze Goggles a NE IPA. Will I be back? Yes!

For years My Mr and I have been wanting to drop by the Humble Monk Brewing. Finally on a Saturday afternoon we did! Located across from Urban Artifact. Inspired Trappists beers made with great quality and smooth taste to the finish. The place is so laid back. Very open and loved the antique decor. Limited patio space available. They follow the social distancing keeping the place sanitize/clean, no bar seating, 6 foot rule, and employees wearing masks. We entered and was greeted by the owner Felicia. She was down to earth, knowledgeable and explained each beer in detail. Breaking it down on how it was made and taste. We decided to try 3 flights of (of four) their beers on tap:Blackthorn Irish-style stoutHalo pomegranate seltzerThree it's Belgian tripleO Holy Oat imperial stoutHaze Goggles hazy IPAAbbey red aleUncle God's Farmhouse ale saisonMonk Head ale Belgian IPAP38 West Coast IPASt Brendan Irish RedGood Deeds GoseMy fave is the abbey red ale (love the banana/peppery finish) and the Belgian triple (very smooth). I occasionally drink seltzer's and oddly I was also fan of the pomegranate! We spent our time playing board games and chilling out with our Frenchie Billy. Loved that they are pet friendly. Hungry? You can call or bring in pizza from NYPD. They also have live bands on the weekend. The whole experience was great! We enjoyed the beers that we had to take a 4 pack home! We are definitely coming back! Love it here so much!

We finally decided to stop in Cincinnati to check out the breweries. Lots of great choices but we really enjoyed Humble Monk. GREAT beer and the service was amazing. Just a friendly crew. Just perfect for those who like a good beer and conversation. We will definitely go back.

I got a flight and 4/4 had some serious off flavors from improper brewing. 2 had a bandaid taste (phenols from stressed yeast) and the others had a buttery, slick mouth feel (diacetyl... could be improper sanitizing during the brewing process). I should note most people did seem to be enjoying the beers so you might too if you are a normal beer fan. I am a trained beer taster and avid craft beer fan, so if you are really into beer tasting I would recommend passing on this brewery and going to one of the many in Cincinnati that have proper brewing technique.
