Stay here every time I'm in the area working. Great people they treat you like family

This hotel is a very basic no frills motel that provides a well rested sleep at an old fashion hotel.This hotel honored the roomsaver/ Indiana road coupons with tax it was 40 bucks and what an incredible deal. The room had a "old school" key and the room has a sofa, comfortable bed, modern television, dresser, refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was in excellent operating condition. Check in was quick and the gentleman working behind the counter was very courteous late at night and the next morning when I saw him which I presume to be the owner of the property. He had a great smile and was very friendly checking in and departure. The hotel has easy access to the interstate and is pitch quiet at night for a great night's sleep. There is a McDonalds and a 24 hour gas station nearby within walking distance and the hotel is in great condition. It is a basic motel offering exceptional service, budget minded value, super clean, and courteous staff.

I felt nice driving by this place. Why wouldn't someone want to stay at a place called the Huggy Bear?! Wish my trip was long enough to stop and stay.

We stayed for 4 nights at Huggy Bear. This is definitely your basic room, but did include a refrigerator, microwave and hairdryer in the room. The room was clean and had plenty of space. The staff were friendly. It was half the price of the chain hotel. If you want a basic room for a good price, this is the place.
