I decided at the last minute to find a hotel in Indianapolis because I was too tired to drive back to Cleveland after my big event. It took a while to find a place that had a room, but I called the Hotel Broad Ripple, which I found on Yelp, and they found the last room available. Max at the front desk was extremely helpful and saved me a room. While the price was a little high for my taste, I did learn that it was the weekend of three Taylor Swift concerts in town so I ended up feeling very lucky.I came after hours and the process for getting in was extraordinarily easy and I found my room keys and the room right away. Once I was in the room, I was extremely grateful I had found this little gem of a small boutique hotel in a wonderfully fun and funky neighborhood. It was as quiet a hotel as I've ever been in and extremely comfortable.I deeply appreciated the 50% off coupon for a nearby coffee house and breakfast place, the Java House, which was within easy walking distance. I highly recommend this place and think it is also extraordinarily romantic and would recommend it for an anniversary getaway for a couple.

We stopped in for an art event today and the manager walked us through the history of Hotel Broad Ripple and showed one of the charming rooms. It's a beautiful, welcoming but comfortable boutique-style hotel space in the heart of Broad Ripple with restaurants, shopping, and entertainment within walking distance. It's a gem in the neighborhood, as there aren't any other hotels in the exact Broad Ripple area. Locals, don't count it out! Their bar (wine and beer only) is open to the public, so make sure to stop in and enjoy the lobby and adorable outdoor space on weekends from 5 until 10 PM. They often have live music on the front lawn!

My wife and I recently spent a night here. Everything was great! The employees (owners?) were nice, our room was clean, it was as advertised and the price was reasonable. The close proximity to multiple good restaurants, a beautiful walking path, art galleries and bars makes this a wonderful place to visit from out of town, park your car and have a great time while not having to get back in your car until it's time to go home. Indianapolis without traffic headaches? Yeah, we will definitely be back!

Centrally located and a step off the Monon Trail, this unique hotel is obviously a labor of love. The place to stay for a relaxing, enjoyable respite with all the comforts of home. Parking is easy, countless restaurants and the wonderful bakery, Rene's, are within short walking distance.

I had no idea this existed. It only looks like a house when you drive by, but inside is the cutest spot! I only gave 4 stars because the bar wasn't open. I admit I didn't do the booking so if it was disclosed, I didn't know. It won't stop me from returning. I've been told there is live music over the summer and I can't wait to have a girls weekend and return!

One of the blurbs, perhaps its website, announces that this little boutique in eastern Indianapolis "caters to LGBTQ guests" and later posts that it is "friendly to all genders and styles," or something to that effect. I was even moved to call for assurance that an elderly white straight couple wouldn't make others uncomfortable. "Don't be silly!" I was told "You'll have a wonderful time." Three little hole in the wall buildings furnished with meticulous taste and a detailed eye gave us great comfort in a strange city. An acoustic group played in the yard before our balcony the Sunday afternoon of our arrival -- old Beatles and Jimmy Buffett songs done well, and softly enough so as not to impede conversation. Spectacularly clean room, soft sheets, and fluffy terry bathrobes made us feel like royal guests. Plus, there's a very nice bar in the main building. We never entered our rental car between arrival and departing to the airport, as there are many restaurants, taverns, ice cream shops, and diners in convenient walking distance even for us octogenarian washed-up former has-been athletes visiting the Broad Ripple quarter of Indy. We had a delightful visit and will certainly return.

Hotel Broad Ripple is a delightful mix between a B&B, hotel and lodge. It takes the best of each of these and combines them into a welcoming overnight experience. You walk in and immediately smell a woodsy scent, like fresh-cut pine or oak -- I don't really know my woods. But it's that all-natural scent that immediately conjures up memories of nights spent in Gatlinburg or a forest or on a mountain. And then there's this great lobby area with wine at night. When I walked through it at different times I found guests chatting each other up, getting to know each other. So ... a lodge. But then again, this lodging option is in what looks like a former single-family home. The signage is minimal. You have to know where you're going to find it ... or have a good GPS.My room door was within 10 feet or so of the check-in desk, and there are no phones in the rooms because you could just peek your head out of your door and ask the front desk clerk. From what I could tell each room is just a bit different, some with balconies and some bigger than others. My room had a large brick focal wall, a vintage green sofa and a beautifully tiled shower. And when I checked in, I got a hand written note, welcoming me to Hotel Broad Ripple. So ... a B&B.But the amenities seemed to go above and beyond a B&B. There's free continental breakfast available at the small restaurant across the train tracks from Hotel Broad Ripple. I didn't get to try it out, but the clerk pointed out that it was next to the train caboose behind the hotel. Each room has its own bathroom from what I could tell. And you have privacy from other guests. So ... a hotel. Some other things I liked about Hotel Broad Ripple:* My room had its own Keurig with a few complimentary K-cups, including two teas and a coffee.* Coffee was also available for free in the lobby.* There's a small private parking lot in back of the hotel.* It's within a short walk of some of the best places in Broad Ripple. * The wifi was fast, free and easy to connect to. My room did not have a small fridge, which I wish it had, but besides that, my experience with Hotel Broad Ripple is one that I would happily repeat. I must remember this for the next time I'm in Indy.

I have walked past Hotel Broad Ripple several times while walking the Monon Trail and always thought it looked so cute. I was in town for a holiday party and decided to stay for the night. I was pleasantly surprised with how spacious and clean the room was. The bed was incredibly comfortable for a hotel bed and allowed for a great night's sleep! Check-in and check-out were both incredibly efficient and both employees were incredibly friendly! The location is perfect and conveniently located to several bars and restaurants, all within walking distance. I would absolutely stay here again when I am passing through the Indianapolis area!
