Thanks to GOOGLE I'm obsessed with Hoosier Heights! A friend and I had planned on a hike, neither of checked the weather... hello RAIN! Ha! Quick Google search "things to do on a rainy day" and Hoosier Heights popped up! We were like "heck yea, let's do it!"First time indoor rock climbing and I REALLY enjoyed it! Watched a brief, yet detailed safety video, geared up, was given a quick walk around the facility and we were off clipping in and climbing walls!! GREAT experience, I'll definitely be back faking it until I fall!! Haha! Soo much FUN!

Been climbing here for a few years. There is a good combination of bouldering routes, top rope routes, and lead routes available. You can sign up to get lead certified if you find an available weekend. They recently changed their grading system to a + / - system: 5.10- = 5.10a/b5.10 = 5.10b/c5.10+ = 5.10c/dThey recently added a rowing machine but do not have a very robust workout section. The dojo area is available for members.

I took my 11 year old and her friend here on a whim. She's always loved rock climbing at the kid places (adrenaline, sky zone, etc) so I thought she'd love a step up to something more official. We paid $28 for both of them, super affordable. I was surprised how hands-off this place is. We watched an orientation video explaining how to put on the harnesses, how to belay, etc. and then off they went! We went midday on a weekday and there were several other people, but the place is so big they had tons of space to climb wherever they wanted. Lots of bouldering/free climb structures and several auto-belay areas to choose from. There's a wall for beginners or little kids, and there were several toddler/preschool aged kids there having fun! The place was clean, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the bathrooms were well maintained. My girls had a blast and we can't wait to go back!

This was such a great outing! We went on a Friday, which was 2 passes for $20 -- such a great deal, since that includes all your equipment as well! It's a much larger facility with a lot more variety than other rock climbing gyms I've tried out. You begin with an introduction video -- I've been to gyms where the orientation is in person, and I think that is a better option in case you have questions. I also found their routes to be challenging, in a good way! You can try out both rock climbing and bouldering and they have walls of varying heights. We brought my cousin, who has mental and physical disabilities, and she enjoyed it so much! We love finding activities that she can enjoy just as well! Definitely a great options for those who are differently abled :) The employees were very kind and friendly with all of us.

I thought I was relatively fit and strong until I came here. Wow! Rock climbing gives you a major workout! I discovered that although my endurance might be good, my upper body strength is for shite. All this to say: If you're looking for a fun and meditative way to work out, especially your upper body, you should check out rock climbing. And you should especially check out rock climbing here at Hoosier Heights.I am a worrier by nature, so when my child said he wanted to go rock climbing, I pictured us visiting the ER with a broken leg or a fractured skull, or just plain paralyzed from the neck down. But the people at Hoosier Heights are very judicious about explaining the rules to everyone, and making sure everyone is on the same page. They make you watch a safety video (about 11 minutes long), and then walk you around the facility and explain which areas are best for beginners, and which ones are for more experienced climbers or might require more help. That being said, they are pretty relaxed about letting you try everything if you want to. If you've never climbed before, or you have kids who are climbing, I suggest trying out the auto-belay ropes, because they don't require another person on the ground spotting you. And if you fall, the auto-belay system catches you and glides you to the ground gently. The also offer bouldering walls here, and these don't require harnesses. You're basically scaling up and down huge boulders on your own. They have big walls, but also small walls for little kids and beginners. To save some money, you don't have to rent climbing shoes. You can use your own! They also offer discounts on certain days, like $40 for 4 people on Sundays, or Date Night Fridays, where couples can climb for $20. One of my kids' favorite areas was the ninja warrior area, where a bunch of obstacles are set up. We spent a lot of time here swinging on rings, climbing ropes, balancing on beams and scaling walls. There's something for every ability here, from kids to adults.

I went rock climbing once during a field trip in elementary school but hadn't been back since. I came to Hoosier Heights for a work retreat and had a great time!We met in their event space which looks like it's mainly used for kids' birthday parties. Our group made it work with the tables, chairs and couches. We had Hot Box, their preferred pizza vendor, deliver lunch to us while we brainstormed. As for the climbing, let's just say I'm not very good at it...but I had a fun time trying! It's harder than it looks, and I have a new appreciation for the people who come here regularly and make it look easy. I assumed we would clip in and have some belay us, but there are walls with auto/self belays. The staffer instructed us on safe climbing before letting us loose. I tried bouldering (when you're not tied in) which I mistakenly thought would be easier (hint: it's not). Fun place for a team retreat and a fantastic rock climbing facility for people who want to buy a membership and visit here regularly!

We had so much fun today! Everything was very clean and well ran. Employees were awesome! We were especially impressed with Mitch who was working in the "Dojo" Ninja course area. He was super knowledgeable and fun... My 8 year old absolutely loved him! Thanks for such a great day. We will be back. :)

This was our first time here, we normally go to North Mass Boulder but they were closed for a competition, and let's just say it was an awful experience. No one in my group felt safe to fall because the mats are so thin. The grips hurt and are awful compared to any other place Ive been to. We climbed maybe for 15 minutes, hated it and decided to leave. We asked for a refund and they said they could not... What place cant do a refund? $20 to climb 15 minutes and to not enjoy or feels safe at all. Very disappointed with the climbing and management here.

Don't come here during the winter! There is no heater, and you'll be expected to climb in your jackets.

I was a member here for over two years and my experience was fine until I tried to leave. This business makes it extremely easy to create a membership, but will make you jump through a bunch of unnecessary hoops to cancel your membership. I called the front desk and asked to cancel my membership. They told me they aren't allowed to do that. They said I would need to submit a ticket through their online portal or send an email to a specific email address. They wouldn't even allow me to come in person and cancel. They can create memberships at the front desk but can't cancel memberships? This place is hotel California. I will never consider doing business here after experiencing this shady business practice. If a customer service agent can create a membership then they should be able to cancel one.
