Home2 Suites by Hilton Columbus, IN

This was our first time to stay at a Home2. Other than the check in and the digital not working it was very nice. The room was very clean and well appointed. The lobby and breakfast areas were also very clean. The breakfast was good and they had my favorite, the homemade waffles. The check in girl was not very friendly and she seemed to be more interested in sitting at a table and drinking a coffee that paying attention to guests. I was not welcomed as an honors Member and was never recognized during the whole stay. I'm not sure we'll return

We stay here on our way home from Florida. Would recommend. We stayed in king room suite and was very impressed . Housekeeping could do a little better job such as vacuuming carpet (piece of candy laying under desk), wipe down ottoman in front of sofa (had food crumbs on top of it) and in shower door track was clump of hair. Housekeeping staff was on there phone with child when we were on our way up to our room. Price was right. In morning when checking out, employee running front desk was so friendly and had a smile on her face. We liked that the room had a kitchen since traveling with a food allergy is very hard. We cannot eat out at restaurants so having a sizable kitchen to store food and heat food in microwave was a blessing. Other hotels should follow Home2 in this area. Thank you.

The employee at the front desk made everything much easier. I had a few special requests and he was very accommodating. He gave us suggestions on where to have dinner, suggested the map of the downtown. The hotel was very clean. Beds were comfortable. We love Home2 Suites because of the spacious rooms. Can't review the continental breakfast since we usually skip those at every hotel

Right off the interstate, gas stations near, and lots of pizza places, the salt water pool is super nice, and the breakfast is one of the best I have had, tons of breakfast sandwiches and egg omelets and waffles! Thanks for the great stay

New hotel. Nice rooms. Very clean. Dog friendly. Easy exit off the highway when driving between Chicago and Florida. Refrigerator and microwave in the room. Had an indoor pool which we didn't use and a little gym. There were guests enjoying the outdoor fire pit seating area.

Nice, new and very clean, comfy We stopped here on our long way home from a spring break trip. It was the last hotel room and we rolled in at 2:30 am. The staff was friendly & helpful and it was a pleasant stay.

The worst experience ever. Hotel is obnoxiously dirty. Front desk is very rude. House keeping service is non-existent. Will never ever stay at this property. An absolute disaster. This hotel is ruining the Hilton brand.

The room was nice and every accommodation I needed there was given. Staff was FRIENDLY! The pool was so nasty I couldn't see my hand under the water. Hair floating in the pool. Filter was not in operation. NASTY SMELL. Its unusual for one to complain about staff being too helpful but I'm going to do that this time. I'd like to start off with, I understand completely that they were trying to be helpful. I walked downstairs for breakfast and was bombarded by questions and options because I brought all four of my kids down two of which were in a stroller. Finally after the tenth suggestion I started ignoring them. I mean we are talking zero coffee in my system just woke up trying to feed four kids and get woke up. To have all those options accommodations and questions, my kids don't even do that to me lol. I mainly wrote to complain about the pool. How can you be that helpful in the breakfast area and your pool look so bad?

It's looks great on the inside but there are a few issues. If you care about Covid safety this isn't the place for you. NONE of the staff wore their mask properly. Mangers, front desk and house keeping all wore their mask under their noses. Breakfast was terrible. Cereal, bagel or yogurt was it. No muffins, no pastry and nothing even lukewarm. Didn't love our stay.

I can't recommend the H2 Suites hotel for business travellers at all due to the following experience:- Booked a suite 4 month in advance as a Hilton Diamond Member- On the day of the travel I got downgraded to a standard room - still I should pay the same rate as for a suite.- Asking for a reduced room rate the response was: "Well you already got a good rate, so no."- Front desk agent told me to speak the manager the following day. Following day: "Well the manager went to a college football game". Day after that: "Manager didn't come in"So;- Forwarded complaint to our travel management. This property has been taken of the list for hotels in this area. Given the size of our organisation and number of stays this downgrade the unprofessional handling of the matter has already cost them an annual loss of business of ~50.000USD. Hope this was worth it.- Will file a complaint with the Hilton Corporate key account manager for this property.Rooms:- Were clean, and comfortable- Carpets had a few minor stains but nothing serious.I would recommend to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn or Hampton in the Edinburgh Area 5mins up the road. Run by a great team and friendly people.
