Hirosaki

This is my family's go to hibachi restaurant. Our kiddos love the big flames and entertainment with dinner. They loved the coy pond they had there before their renovations removed it. Our go to meals are chicken hibachi dinner with fried rice ($2 more), steak hibachi dinner with noddles ($3 more), edamame, and a roll or two. Wednesdays are half price sushi rolls, which make for a nice, more affordable appetizer.

Had a need for sushi so decided to go on half price night. All tasted fine and the three of us ended with a clean plate on five shared rolls. The side salad was good too. Love that dressing. If you go Tuesday or Wednesday night for half price rolls get there early since they don't do reservations and we had a 20 minute wait at 6:00. It is worth the wait. They also do hibachi grills but we've never done that. We just go for the sushi. Service is friendly and helpful.

Went for my husband's birthday and it was our first time in. Luckily it was half off sushi night! Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Great way to try new types of sushi. We will be back!

Some friends and I had our yearly Christmas dinner here. They give you huge portions, definitely worth the money. I had the shrimp and steak habachi and we also ordered the playboy sushi. The food was amazing. We had a great time and we're looking forward to going again soon.

The sushi is why I come here, it's always so fresh and tastes amazing! The service is really good and they are so friendly. I wish they could sell their Ginger salad dressing by a container and the eel sauce too. It is relaxing to come here and eat hibachi or even dine in.

We took our daughter and granddaughter for a birthday lunch today and it was great. Our chef was amazing and so personable and funny. He put on a great show! Our group of six ordered chicken, steak and tuna. The steak was excellent, the chicken tasty but the tuna was on the dry side and my son said next time he'd stick to the steak. Will definitely recommend the establishment.

This was not our first visit but it has been many years since we have been to Hirosaki. We were craving hibachi and were in the Avon area so decided to try them again. We were seated right away. There were about 4 other people at the dining/grill before we got there and another couple was seated right after we were. Our drink orders were taken right away and then our orders were taken shortly after. The restaurant is spacious and there are tables to sit at and dine if you do not want to do hibachi style as well as a bar area. The miso soup and salads with ginger dressing were brought out in good time and our appetizers were brought out shortly afterwards. The miso soup was good and the salad had fresh, crisp lettuce with plenty of dressing. We ordered the "monkey brain" roll which has avocado and spicy crab meat with a spicy sauce. It was really tasty! The chef then came out to prepare our entrees. He was interactive and funny and did a good job with the food. Both my husband and I had the shrimp and scallops with fried rice and vegetables. The food was good and prepared well. We would probably return if in the area again.

Came here for dinner and I couldn't help but take in the serene ambiance of this place! I love the fact that when you first walk in they have this cute little bridge with a pond full of fish! Such a cute touch!! We were quickly greeted and seated at a table. I ordered a salmon crunch roll and it was pretty good. The fish tasted so fresh as well! Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. Service was quick and the food was delicious! Will definitely be back to try the sit down hibachi next time!!

I took my little sister and her girlfriend for their 1st time to experience the Hibachi grill. We arrived around 5pm on a Friday, and we're sat right away. You join a table that seats 8 around the grill. We were greeted at the table, and they took our drink order right away. I ordered the grill with the filet mignon. My little sister ordered the shrimp grill and her girlfriend ordered the chicken option. The grill includes soup, salad and steamed rice. If you want fried rice or noodles, it is an additional $2.50, which I was surprised, because previously when attending hibachi grills, the fried rice was included. The chef was friendly and very attentive to how we wanted our food cooked. The girls had a great experience and enjoyed their food. They even had leftovers. The restaurant was clean inside and the restrooms were as well. Great dinner and show experience for the family. Definitely pricey, you want to tip well for their great services. Service was quick and efficient.

On 01/04/2025 at 11:37 am my husband and I entered the restaurant to celebrate my birthday. There were several employees present. There was a mop bucket in the middle of the floor, one person sweeping a floor in the room past the entry area and at least three other employees near the hostess- type stand area. NONE OF THEM EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED us. We waited several minutes and when one of the employees walked by us we asked him if we could be seated. He replied "no". The person sweeping the floors looked up at us and turned his back. We left and went to Texas Roadhouse and spent our $150 there. I would not recommend anyone eat at this establishment. The website said the restaurant opened at 11:00 AM as did the sign on the door. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I would give it a NO STAR rating. I really could not believe we were treated in that manner.
