If you're in the area visiting Turkey Run State Park or Shades State Park do yourself a huge favor and visit this place after working up an appetite hiking. We stopped in this little diner and were taken aback by the sheer charm of the place and people! It is a true flashback moment. The menu has a standard selection of small town diner selections and the prices are insanely inexpensive. I had the double bacon cheeseburger and cheese fries. My burger was near perfect. A simple, enjoyable meal at its best. For dessert I had a slice of pecan pie that was pretty near life changing! The pies are all homemade by the owner! I was blown away by how delicious it was. Our server was extremely attentive despite how busy the place was. All of the other customers were locals of the tiny town and surrounding areas. As we clearly looked like our of towners (and were probably 35 years younger than the average age) a lot of people came to say hi to us and told us that we had to stay for the music and dancing that they had at 6pm. We stayed to see the band start playing and most of the restaurant stood up to line dance. It was very cute to see. This was a very charming, unique experience and I am so glad we stopped here.

This place was really cute! We went on a Saturday and apparently they have live music and dance. It's an old mom and pop type place and they offer some American food like burgers but house specialities too like country fried steak. I got the bacon cheeseburger ($3.85) with breaded mushrooms ($2.50) and both were very yummy!! Our waitress was very attentive! I kind of felt like I was in an old school TV show lol. The city itself has maybe 100 or so people and people come here from neighboring towns. We were asked where we were from (we didn't look like from around the town haha. It was mostly an older crowd). It was very cute! To end the meal, I got a coconut cream pie. Apparently the owner, Tony, makes all the pies. It was so delicious! And it costs about $2.40 a slice. Overall, it was a nice experience! They start the music at 6pm so we got a chance to see some folks line dance and hear a band play music.

This is a great place and a lot of fun. Drive out to Wallace on back roads and experience the Midwest or take the interstate. We have been making the trip from Indianapolis for about 4 years. Food is good stick to your ribs home cooking. Owners and staff very friendly. The locals are just a blast to be around. The Band that plays every Saturday is a lot of fun, great group of older men. Gets people dancing. If Big group 10+ make sure you call them a few days ahead they will have seating together for your group. Everyone needs to visit this place once.

This is a great place. Not only do you get some authentic down home Indiana diner cooking, you also get live music on Thursday and Saturday nights, courtesy of the Highway 341 Band. Great food, great music, and friendly people.

This is a great place to eat especially when you are hungry because the portions are huge.it's an old fashioned style restaurant right down to the wooden screen door...the food has that home made taste to it because it's all.home made..the pies are melt in your mouth delectable and are made by the owners..it's also a dance hall twice a week...lots of small town ambience...staff super friendly and attentive...prices are unbelievably cheap...they do not take debit cards but will take a check..you won't leave hungry I can tell you that for sure.

Here's a hidden and truly mom and pop Establishment. Inside is dated but very comfortable. There's a stage in the back that has live bands. (Although I didn't experience one because we were there off peak mid afternoon). The waitress was very friendly and fun. Food im told is home cooking. Coconut pie was very good. Overall I'd return because its a nice cozy friendly atmosphere.
