Be advised: Heavy's IS a SMOKING BAR. Heavy's Bar and Grill is a true family owned business that has been open since Sept. 2011. We liked this bar as soon as we walked in. To the left, as you enter, is the game area with 5 pool tables, a dart board, a video game, and a shuffle board area. To your right of the main bar is the dining and D. J. area. There are 8 6-top tall tables for larger groups. For those who need regular tables, there are many along the bar. You'll find a second smaller bar with 11 bar stools for super busy nights. Want to watch a game? Then you're in luck since you can see a flatscreen wherever you sit. Looking for a night of music, then you're in the right spot. Just check their website for the details. This bar offers something for every person who enjoys tasty food, music, a place to enjoy pool, darts, pull-tabs, and shuffleboard. The main u-shaped bar is large (30 stools), with many regulars who are recognized as soon they enter. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming to everyone. The menu has the typical pub food with daily specials. The appetizers are plentiful, and many are large enough for a main course such as the Heavy Slop Tots, Mile High Nachos, Loaded Potato Wedges, 5 Pepperoni Breadsticks or Wings. The Heavy Supreme Salad is different topped with sausage, pepperoni, and then regular salad ingredients. The chili, loaded or not, is good. Loaded is my personal preference, but hubby prefers just the small, diced onions. The past week, I ordered their excellent baked potato and topped it off with my loaded chili. So good! All kinds of sandwiches and wraps provide a nice selection to choose from, and each sandwich is served with one side (upgrades available). The Reuben served with onion rings was tasty. Both were a tad greasy, but the rings are deep-fried, of course. The 1/2 lb pork tenderloin is huge and can be prepared grilled or breaded. My husband has gotten it grilled, and he asked they add Cajun Seasoning, which they happily did. Another popular choice is the fish sandwich (cod or tilapia) and grilled or breaded. Reasonably priced dinner options include a Sirloin Steak, NY Strip, Grilled Chicken, Fish (cod or tilapia) prepared your way. Heavy's round's out the dinner menu with New Orleans Pasta or Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta and even Fajitas. We made a specific trip Friday evening so my husband could try the Slow Roasted Prime Rib. Your portion size option is 10 oz. ($15.49) or 16 oz. ($18.49). The server had raved on and on, so he was looking forward to a decent Prime Rib. It was anything but good!! As you can see from the attached picture, it was a lump of fat. Maybe it was just an off night, but neither of us will order again. The sides were great, and as I noted before, the baked potato is really good. Pizza, calzones, and Strombolis are perfect for large groups to share. Our servers were friendly, attentive, and hustled. Other than the extremely fatty Prime Rib, everything we've ordered has been good.

I'm not a fan of sports, loud rowdy people, cigarette smoke and dark spaces all of which describes Heavy's. However, I do recommend their pizza especially with the cauliflower crust. We typically have called ahead and ordered to go but decided to try dine in this time. Ash trays on every table should have been my clue to get to go along with customers parking motorcycles on the sidewalk. Maybe even the sign warning barring for 1 year if in an altercation but I wasn't deterred. The domestic beer selection was good. The pizza was excellent as usual but I just couldn't get past the atmosphere. The staff are clearly loyal to the regulars and weren't rude but not attentive. They started charging a cover after we arrived but I didn't see any signs of entertainment. I will likely order pizza again in the future to go but I won't be stepping back inside. Not a place for me but good food and appeals to some. If you are a smoker, rowdy sports fan with good vision you will love this place!

Let me get this out of the way right now. This is a smoking bar. It doesn't bother me, but it seems very weird in this day and age. I love a good dive bar, but it's been almost a decade since I've been to a place that allows smoking. Now that that's out of the way, I dig this place. It's a little rock and roll, whe still maintaining a friendly vibe. There are 2 bars (a big center bar and a smaller one on the side). The drinks are cheap and the food isn't bad. Lots of locals here on an early Friday night. There's 4 pool tables on 1 side and it looks like they have dancing later in the evening (there's an elevated DJ booth in the corner.

Yes, it's a bar. Yes, they allow smoking (I don't smoke). But what you'll find here is excellent service and some pretty good food.Hubby and I were looking for something different tonight. We hadn't been to Heavy's in years (since 2011 according to Swarm LOL). I knew they still allowed smoking, but we decided to brave it and venture in anyway. They were busy. We seated ourselves at a pub table complete with Jaegermeister drink recipes on it. Almost as soon as we sat down our server was there to take our food and drink orders. I ordered an amaretto sour. We then ordered the corn nuggets as our appetizer. She returned promptly with our drinks and took our food order. Amazingly (and this NEVER happens!), my husband and I both ordered the same thing! We each had the bacon-wrapped fillet. I chose the homemade chips as my side, and boy am I glad I did. They were really good. Nice and slightly crispy, and I dipped them in ranch dressing. The fillet was so tender and tasty.I finished my meal with blueberry pie. I don't know whether or not it was homemade (I kind of suspect that it was), but it was good. It had a nice, flaky crust and a delicious blueberry filling.I wouldn't hesitate to come back here. The smoking is an issue, but it was worth braving for the good food and excellent service.
