This is an amazing place for take out. The dine in experience was lost during Covid and it appears a bit run down. The food however is quite exceptional, full of flavors and very authentic.

i've seen this restaurant several times as it's in a plaza near my preferred dollar general. the website doesn't seem to be currently active as i tried to order online and couldn't. i called and placed my order over the phone advising i wanted orange chicken and a veggie egg roll. i was told they had spring rolls and said i would gladly take those if they didn't offer vegetable egg rolls. my order was an orange chicken broccoli combo w/ fried rice and spring rolls. they advised what time they were closing (8pm) an hour earlier than their listed but i'm thinking due to covid. once there they had lots of shields and plastic up. the card reader was on the outside with the customer. all of the utensils and sauces are on the outside in a box. all that i could see were wearing masks they seem to be following safety protocols. my food had zero taste. i've never experienced this before with chinese food. i was taken aback and disappointed. it was warm when i got home but again no flavor just bland chicken broccoli and rice. also they included maybe a pork egg roll and spring rolls so i was charged extra for that when it wasn't what i wanted :/the employee was cordial throughout my experience via the phone and when i arrived for pickup. she verified my name and phone to ensure it was actually me/my food.

If your in a hurry or even half a hurry skip this place, even if you call it in, as I did. I arrived 20 minutes later, as directed, and they hadn't even begun to cook my order. There were about 7 people dining in who hadn't received their food either. One cook and one woman manning the dining room and checkout. If I had it to do over, I would not give them my business during normal meal time hours but mid afternoon when they can devote the time needed to a single order. Food was good though

Food is always good! The only issue I've had is sometimes they don't answer the phone. Probably cause they get swamped.

Favorite Chinese in Danville, a little hard sometimes to get them to answer the phone but worth it!

I hadn't heard of Happy Dragon (although it is a chain with several locations in the metro area), but when another restaurant was backed up with customers, I decided my time was worth more than waiting in line and headed down the strip mall to try out this Chinese restaurant. The overall appearance was very typical of strip mall restaurants...white walls at the front with lots of pictures of food and preprinted menus available for ordering take out. In fact, I got the impression that most of the orders were for take out. As one of the only dine in customers, I didn't have to wait long for my lunch special.I ordered a Chicken Chow Mein lunch with fried rice and an egg roll as my complementary sides. The flavor was really good and the bowl was quite appetizing to look at. I did find the fried rice to be a little flavorless but the white sauce did well to make up for it.The egg roll was a vegetarian type and had a crisp outside. I did find adding one of the sauces added to the flavor.Although I usually prefer to support independent restaurants, it's nice to know that I can still get a decent meal even if there aren't any "wow" moments.Review #726

The family run restaurant is a great place to get some great tasting Chinese/Japanese food. The cashier and manager remember you and since I ordered the same thing every time they memorized what I get so I could come in and just pay. Every time I come in they serve me with a smile. Their egg rolls actually taste how egg rolls are supposed to taste here. I definitely recommended trying this place for lunch or dinner. You can call ahead and they can get it ready when you come in so you can just pay and go if you want.

I love this place! The food is always fresh and delicious. The lady is so friendly. I don't have a single bad thing to say. I believe there are three Asian restaurants in Danville and this is by far the best. Not only best food but best value. I highly recommend if you are in the area.

I have had my order messed up 3 times with them. The first two times, I didn't go back to the restaurant for a year. This time I went back, and they messed up again. I gave them chances to correct my simple order, but they refused. Honestly, it has been a hard time communicating with them on the orders even in person.
