Grandpa Jeff's Trail Rides

My daughter and I had the best time on our trail ride!!! We ride all the time and went on trail three times a week back home! The amount of different terrain plus going through the creek was so much fun! We are definitely coming back during the summertime when the trees are fully bloomed... And the fall with the magnificent array of color. Thank you so much grandpa and grandma Jeff for your hospitality. see you soon!

We took our horse loving 10 yr old granddaughter for the one hour and 45 minute trail ride. Jeff was our guide and extremely helpful with our inexperienced riders. A person always needs extra patience with children and their usual lack of experience and Jeff was great.Jeff owns 90 acres and it has been in his family for 115 years. His trails cover a wide variety of terrain. We rode across grass fields, creeks and streams with just a little bit of water, some muddy areas, up and down some hilly areas deep in the woods with fallen leaves, cut through a pasture or two, and crossed a road here and there. A very nice ride.My horse, Ozzy, knew which way to go but despite following my granddaughters horse a few yards away he occasionally wanted to take the wrong fork in the trail or try for a shortcut so I got to use my riding experience and actually guide the horse. And a few times I wasn't paying enough attention in the beginning, be broke into a trot which was fun but made me pay more attention.I had good cell coverage all the way there to use GPS to find his place on the southwest side of Morgantown. I'm sure we will be coming back and I'll never remember how to get there :-)

We had a group of 14, most had never ridden. They took the time to make sure we all understood what to expect and how to handle the horses. Cash or check only was a surprise that I must have missed but will definitely go back and recommend.

Happy horses that looked healthy, nice guide, everything was very relaxing. Can't wait to return.

This is a hidden gem! We set an appointment time arrived early and was greeted by the sweetest old hound dog. You could tell it was privately owed the grounds were well kept as well as the horses. The staff was friendly knowledgeable and confident in their horses. The prices are so affordable and its close to Nashville where you can get lunch and do a little shopping.

Amazing experience!! Well-trained horses, good for my 11 and 13 year old girls. Just watch out for Hunter, their "speed controller" on the road into the place!! Great place and Jeff and his wife were wonderful!!

Grandpa Jeff was very friendly as well as his horses, they are very well trained and cooperative and the trail is beautiful!

In 2020 we came down to Brown County for the first time from Carmel Indiana.We moved to Carmel from Virginia and heard a lot about the beauty of Brown County.Being from the beautiful country of Virginia we decided to check it out.I grew up with a horse. As a result I love horses to this day.We decided on our trip that we wanted to go on a horseback ride.We found Grandpa Jeff's online and booked a ride.A most enjoyable time. I made friends right away with this guy. Heading back this week for another ride and hoping to ride with him or one of his good friends.Looking forward to another great ride!

Horses are very well taken care of. The trails are beautiful and Jeff is a great guide. Very scenic area. We will be back again!
