Talk about comfort food... WOW! This is a family owned and operated local food establishment and their Grandma's recipes have a special ingredient, LOVE! You can tell it goes in everything! Stop by on Wednesday for chicken and noodles, they are to die for. (There's also a good funeral home in town). The pies, the rolls, the mashed potatoes... wow! I could go on, but I don't want to ruin it for you or make you drool on your phone. Just stop by and try it for yourself! Thank me later and come back and leave a review for this hidden gem that Guy Fieri is missing out on.

You would drive right past this restaurant if you weren't looking! It was the best stop for lunch my family had made in awhile. We were served with a smile and treated with a lot of respect. The waitress was so nice and welcoming even though we came in 30 minutes before closing. Our meal came with a large homemade roll and it was DELICIOUS! I would highly recommended this restaurant to anyone looking for a fun family diner to eat at!

Best place to eat within 30 minutes! Awesome food every time! Breakfast is good, Wednesday chicken noodle dinner is the best I have ever had and their Italian beef is great as well! Only thing I have had that was not 5 star was the chicken sandwich but it was better than most! Great place with great food and even better people!

Food is excellent and servings are big. The huge yeasty rolls are baked onsite as are the desserts.Highly recommend.

This place was clean with a hometown feel. Service was friendly and excellent. We went for breakfast. Their regular coffee was phenomenal! Most places coffee tastes like it is watered down. Biscuit gravy tastes homemade, not out of package or can. We will definitely pass the word and be back. Thank you for a great dining experience.

Good clean fast and friendly. What more could you want in a hometown classic that loads your plate with comfort foods and quality American fare. Give this west side gem a try. You'll be glad you did.

Chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans was all excellent. Sweet tea too sweet for me but a true southerner would love it. Didn't have room for dessert but pies and cakes looked amazing. Will definitely stop again next time I pass through Terra Haute.

I waited to eat here and hoped others would have great reviews of this little diner, but they never came. I went with my husband on a Friday to order the chicken, I was fifteen minutes early but was happy to wait for it. I ordered white meat, a side salad and mashed potatoes.The salad, was obvisouly, pre made and sitting in a cooler because it tasted like something in the cooler, it was NOT fresh, but in all fairness I wasn't there for the salad.... When my chicken plate was served, it looked great. The potatoes were excellent, freshly made and very tasty. They served a huge roll with it and it too was very tasty. The chicken, now that left something to be desired :-(I was told "be careful as it was hot". Well, it was ....inside....the outside was almost cool to the touch. It was only obvious that it had been what appeared to me, microwaved. This was NOT freshly made chicken, but left over warmed up chicken! Now, I don't mind warmed up chicken, but after all the hype, and dying to try this diner, I had much higher expectations. I had even mentioned to the waitress, that I had been dying to try the chicken and was WILLING to wait for it.In case your wondering, I DID NOT complain....I simply ate all I wanted, and we left. My husband ordered breakfast, and he said his was good, but you can get that kind of breakfast anywhere.Will we go back? The likelihood for "ME" is slim to none. Him, maybe if he's passes through West Terre Haute for work.It's very sad that such a wonderful place, that I had high hopes for, disappointed in such a big way.
