A gem in Westfield! So expansive and such lovely urban architecture dotting the park. Toddlers, pets, adults you name it - just the right place to be in. The plaza itself is massive and has good spacious seats, clean restrooms, open park and a trail leading to a neat hike.In summers we have the Westfield farmers market right near Grand Junction Plaza and we have families, couples, friends hanging out giving such good summer feels! Westfield definitely needed a place like this and while some portions are still under construction there's enough to do and walk around on a good weather day. Parking is free, usually it's not a task to find street parking and everything is just open space!

Grand Junction Plaza is a work in progress as of this writing, but so far, we love it! This area of Westfield really needed this: a great park with a great playground, where people can meet up and enjoy the downtown area. The first phase of the six-acre park opened to the public at the end of December 2021. It features lots of public green space, trails, an amphitheater, and a children's play area with a playground. As time progresses, other features will be added to Grand Junction Plaza, including a cafe, a space for ice skating, a parking structure and other improvements. The playground at Grand Junction Plaza is a great place for families to play. If your kids like to climb, then they will love this playground. The playground includes a huge play structure, with many ropes courses and nets that make up the main structure. A small, self-propelled merry-go-round and other riding features make up the playground for big kids. For younger kids, the playground also includes a smaller climbing structure that sits lower to the ground. The whole playground is lined with soft, cushiony Astroturf. This park is easily accessible to Hamilton County trails, including The Monon Trail, Midland Trace Trail and Natalie Wheeler Trail, which run right through the park.I'm a huge fan of parks in general, and I love that the city of Westfield has this great, new public park to enjoy.

The newly-opened Grand Junction Plaza packs a lot of punch as a public space. Amenities are aplenty for the public to enjoy. The main plaza is an ideal gathering place for events and festivals. The cafe provides an auxiliary indoor space to supplement such events. As you loop around the plaza, there is a large greenspace and stage for concerts and movie nights. Going around the stage, you will start hitting the trails and boardwalk along the creek. The playground can be accessed by crossing the bridge to the other side of the creek. Additional greenspace is located next to the playground.Parking is limited near the plaza, but parking lots are available about a block away. There is usually shuttle service during special events.Grand Junction Plaza is well-designed and thought out as a public space. The next time you are in Westfield, take a look around and you might come away impressed.

This place is open, but still a work in progress. It is 6 acres and is very clean and neat. It will be awesome once it is done. The have an outdoor amphitheater that is located right off the river, picnic tables, lounge chairs and a picturesque playground area. It is a hub for local trails. The Monon, Midland and Natalie Wheeler trails run straight through it.The playground looks very nice and is brand new. It has some very modern equipment, I would say almost too modern. The area is on artificial turf, which is really nice. However, as I mentioned the equipment is too modern and is missing the traditional favorites like swings, slides, jungle gyms, rockers and the like. Most of the equipment is net climbing equipment of different shapes, sizes and orientations. I think this area would serve older kids better. Younger ones like 3 and under probably would not do too well in this area and would probably not have a lot of fun. If your kids are anything like mine, they don't want to work too hard on a playground. There is a lot of free street parking available and a dirt lot across the street that I believe you can park in as well. This is a very trendy area that I am sure to be a favorite of many people, young and old. There are plans to add a parking garage, cafe and ice skating rink soon. If you are a person that likes the outdoors and fresh air, then this place is for you. It is like the Ikea of parks and may be park's future. I find that park very intriguing and wait to see what the future holds.
