Golden’s Fish & Chicken

There's a lot of fish/chicken/gyro places in Indy. Goldens is better than ANY of the others I've tried. Most definitely the ones the start with "J". The food seems fresh, well seasoned, and is good! Service there has always been. The ambience isn't anything special, but serves the purpose of you'd like to dine in. Also worth noting that the place seems a lot cleaner than other F/C/G places as well. I got the spicy gyro and some fried shrimp. Gyro was great and the shrimp were plump and the breading was good.

Wow! A spicy gyro. What make this place different is taste. There two hard working guys making sure customer service is not skipped. The menu is every persons dream with fish, gyro and chicken. The spice is just right and they put lemon pepper on the really crisp fries. No soggy fries here!Try Goldens, really happy!

This place has come to the rescue a few times when literally everything else is closed. I don't live in this neighborhood anymore but come back every once in a while. Last night a friend and I ordered. I had a gyro salad with extra tzatziki and a side of pita bread. My friend had a Philly steak and fries. We also ordered mozzarella sticks. My salad was big and delicious. The gyro meat was hot and had great flavor. Also they are not stingy with tzatziki. I stole a few fries from my friend and they were hot and crispy as usual. Only bad thing were the mozzarella sticks. They weren't good at all. The cheese was very stiff. Overall, good late night dinner and I'll keep coming back when the craving hits!

I've had this place bookmarked for awhile so I was excited to finally try it one Sunday evening for dinner. Went inside to look and menu...decided on 5 fish and 5 wings Family Combo. Was told about 15 minutes for cooking. No problem. Fish and chicken were fried and seasoned to perfection. Very tasty. There are signs up about an increase in chicken pricing due to the shortage. I briefly heard about a chicken shortage on the news a couple of weeks ago. Of course Covid is to blame. Anyhoo, their chicken reminds me of Jordan's as others have mentioned in reviews. I'm interested in trying the lunch specials in the near future.

I thought the fish was amazingly good, they season their fish to your specifications. However; I thought the chicken wings where just average... Despite being disappointed with the wings I will definitely go back for the catfish....

Chicken prepared and fried in front of your eyes. 20 wings or combo pieces, a huge portion of piping hot fries, and a 2 ltr soda for $20. Giant deli dill pickle for 99 cents. Not sure what they coat the chicken with, maybe just cornmeal and some spices? But the frying is sooo yummy. If you're not calling ahead, be prepared to wait at least 20 min so they can cook your food. For to go orders, they pack it up nicely so it stays hot on your commute. #yum #ReviewsByRL

10/10 highly recommend this is the BEST chicken place in the city. The customer service was also great and they gave me adequate wait time for fresh food. I will be returning.

20 and 30 piece leg and thigh combos cannot be beaten when you are feeding large groups of people. Pick this one every time

It was pricey for what it was. My catfish nuggets were bland and mostly breading. My boyfriend really enjoyed his lemon pepper chicken tenders though. The fries were decent

Late soccer game, and I didn't want to cook. So I had a craving for fish and chicken. I called ahead to pre-order for pickup. I ordered 5 wing 5 fish combo, perch for the fish, and this would be 20 minutes before I could pick up, which is about normal. I arrived to pick up my order 25 minutes later, and it was ready. It was accurate and hot, yay! The fish was a little overcooked with more breaded coating that I prefer, but tasty for late munchies. Chicken was tasty again, a bit more breading than I preferred. Cover this with the hot sauce, and it was better tasting. Overall not bad they are fast and accurate on my order.
