The place is small inside but they pack a bunch to check out. I purchased 2 choice ribeyes, 2 smoked chops, some smoked bacon and shrimp. I am normally a big steak cooker, but wow, were those chops tender and smoked great. The bacon had some SERIOUS smoke on them. i ended up slicing the bacon into finger bites as an appetizer. The next time im back i will of course stop here to get what i need.

Oh my goodness! As I stepped foot inside this shop for the very first time I was greeted not only by those behind the counter, but by the delicious smell as well! The young ladies behind the counter were very helpful and everything looked delicious! After looking at everything, I kept my order to just a bottle of Raspberry Chipotle Barbecue Sauce, which I plan to use to marinate Pork Chops and also got a pound of Teriyaki Pineapple Chicken Sausages. Be sure to sign up for the rewards program! I plan to return frequently!

Gold Cleaver is newer to the Avon community but it is such a welcomed business. The service is great, their meat has never disappointed (we frequently get their sirloin & chicken wings most, but have tried a lot). We have another meat market in Avon that has never made me feel like they wanted my business nor was I appreciated, but Gold Cleaver hits the service with a smile every time. They are willing to answer questions or get you in & out if that's what you need. Highly suggest trying them out for fresh meat, beer and even some great frozen options!

Gold Cleaver is a good place to get fresh meat (and other foods). Staff is friendly and knowdgeable. We love the smoked pork chops. As with any good meat market their prices are higher than grocery stores but since the meat quality is higher it is worth it to us. That is up to each. I always think to stop on Monday but they are closed that day!
