Okay, I got photos on this order for family lunch and to show you how good it was... because there were some empty pans and satisfied smiles. Ordering here always guarantees to have a happy crowd!

I'm writing this review a day later, because that's how long it took for me to wake up from my food coma. I wish I took pictures; I will next time. Trust me, there will be a next time. We ordered a full rack, a rib tip dinner (w/ 2 sides), a large Mac & cheese and extra bbq sauce on the side. Ribs & Tips - 10/10: On par with some of the best bbq I've had in the Carolina's. Easily the best bbq I've had in Indy.Mac & Cheese - 9/10: The SEASONING... never in my life have I had a Mac with that much seasoning. Took me by surprise at first, but I'm definitely a fan.Potato Salad - 9.5/10: I'd come back for this alone. Incredible. Baked Beans - 8.5/10: I want to score this higher, and it probably should be. But everything else was so incredible. I feel like these may have been a little over-shadowed. VERY good.BBQ sauce - 8/10: To be fair, I'm not a big "sauce" person when it comes to BBQ. My family loved it. I found it a little too sweet. The flavor did pair extremely well with the meat thought, so mission accomplished. Overall Experience - 10/10: All said, the food was incredible, the prices weren't crazy, you have the option to order ahead online. It was a fast, friendly, and simple experience. I'm not kidding, after the first bite I called the restaurant and told the lady that answered I wanted to come back up there and kiss them in the mouth. I could hear the rest of the employees laughing in the background. It seems like an enjoyable workplace. I will definitely be back.

Rib tips, and chicken are amazing!! I drive from the westside once or twice a month for my fix .

The tips are AMAZING!!!! Generous portions. Ordered the half chicken and half pork ribs. Both were extremely tender and well seasoned. The Smokey flavor was everything. I do suggest ordering in advance.

This is definitely the best bbq in the city! The meat is delicious and you definitely get your money's worth. We first tried them at the Juneteenth Foodways Festival! The staff was very nice and offered recommendations on what to try since this was our first time trying them! We ordered the Chicken Tips and Rib Tips and were amazed at how tender and flavorful they were! I'm a sauce girl when it comes to bbq but honestly the sauce isn't even needed! The sauce is delicious, but the meat is a star all on its own! They slice the meat thin, which I hadn't seen for bbq before, but that doesn't take away from how good it is at all! My husband is a hard critic when it comes to bbq and even he was impressed! We tried them again this past Friday evening and were pleased with the ease of ordering online. It's nice because you simply pick the items you want, select your pick up time, and pay! When we arrived our food was ready, which was great as we arrived a few minutes before our pick up time! Trying to not eat in the car was hard, but when we arrived home, we were delighted that the food tasted the same as the first time we had it! Can't wait to go back and try some of their other items!

Yes Gip got Tips and they are sooo good! I'm not sure what type of wood he uses to smoke his ribs and chicken but whatever it is keep it up! I found this place in the middle of the pandemic and I was wondering "where have you been all my life Mr. Gip?"

This was my first time trying GGT. Absolutely the best rib tips I've EVER eaten!!!I love rib tips, and have been very disappointed in the place that I used to go to. The quality seemed to be going down, so GGT came into my life at the right time. I can tell you without a doubt there is no place that compares to GGT. I am very very critical of my BBQ. I have no trouble throwing food away if it's not up to my expectations. These tips are so full of flavor, they are tender and have not one single flaw that I can think of. It reminds me of the bbq that my dad grilled on his Weber grill, low and slow. I met Mr Gibson when I went to pick up my order and he told me to try them without the sauce first. I broke every speed limit to get home because the delicious aroma engulfed my vehicle and I knew what I was about to experience would be life altering:)Well, maybe not life altering, but when you love rib tips/ribs as much as I do, it's a very serious matter.I just want to thank Mr Gibson for blessing us with his extraordinary smoking talent, and please keep doing exactly what you're doing. You have a winner with GipsGotTips!!!

Don't sleep on Gips!!! Tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection. You will not be disappointed

Delicious food. Gips is located in a small strip mall on the corner of Emerson and 21st street. The service is amazing and the owners are super friendly and helpful. One of the owners allowed us to sample a rib tip, which I thought was very courteous of her. The rib tips are delicious and thinly sliced. I love the sliced tips as it's easier to chew. The tips are also very tender. The smoked wings are also delicious, and seasoned to perfection! I will definitely be returning for more.

great food, I loved the professionalism of the employees. Also, you can get large portions for a good price.
