Georgia Street Rhythm & Blues Lounge

On Saturday, a friend and I stopped here for an early dinner before heading to an event. We arrived at approximately 6pm. We were greeted immediately by a friendly hostess and were told it was open seating. We selected to sit at the bar. The ambiance was nice. Lower lighting and feels like a lounge. The music wasn't very loud so we were able to converse without yelling. They were playing 90's R&B and some newer R&B songs, which is always a vibe. It's perfect for date night or a chill night out with your friends. I ordered the lamb chops w/ a side of mashed potatoes and my friend had the fried catfish, shrimp & fries. The wait time was not too long and the food was hot & fresh. My only disappointment was I got rice instead of potatoes. I'm not a fan of yellow rice & by the time I received the potatoes we had to leave in order to be on time for our next event.I ordered a lemon drop but our waitress insisted on us trying their signature Henny Lemon Drop. I would give it a 7.5/10. If you like cognac you will love it.

We came here for dinner the other night and it was my first time! I was shocked I have never been here before. We came in and sat and the service was great! We got our waters fast and was greeted by the bartender. She was really helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. My boo ordered lamb chops and I ordered the catfish. He said his food was a 5/5 and my catfish was really good too. I was worried about it being salty but it wasn't!!!! Whew. The environment was calm and the music was good. It was a mixture of R&B and jazzy vibes! We willBe back. I loved the location, too.

Went during the day so noone was there but the atmosphere was still a vibe. I loved the art on the walls and the bar setup was cool. The waitresses were cool and quickly spoke and took my order. I ordered 3 of the new Orleans catfish dinners. This was my second time having it. I tasted my sisters a week before and me and my mom definitely had to have it again, so here we are. And again this is the best catfish I've had in a loooonnnggg time. Definitely check this place out I don't know what took us so long to find it.

I had an opportunity to check out the lounge recently after learning it was there. I stumbled upon it looking for Burger Study (which used to be located where they are now in the Circle Centre Mall). Hubbs and I stopped in. It was a quiet evening on the weekend. There would be an event a little later, starting at 10p, but we opted not to stay. It seemed like the staff was just coming to work and wasn't really ready. I love the vibe. It's not too club-ish. I'm not in that scene, so I'm not looking for a club. But if offered a relaxed, sexy vibe for couples to hang, watch the games, grab a drink or two-so I would visit again. My rating is reflective of my whole experience. If I were to break it down, it would be: Location: 5 stars. Centrally located downtown, not too far. There's accessible parking right next to the mall.Service: 3.5 stars. We ordered just a couple of apps, and our server stepped outside. But her backup didn't hear that she was stepping away, and we were left waiting for a while. Andre was on it and did a great job. Ask for him if you sit in the bar area. It would have been a drab experience if it weren't for him.Food: 4 stars. It's delicious, but for the price, you get little. They should reconfigure how they present their gator bites. (just my opinion). Maybe take it off the appetizer menu, put it on the entree list, and offer more. We paid, I think, $8 for six small bites.Cleanliness: 3 stars. The main area was ok, but the bathrooms need serious work--dirty sinks and floors with almost no soap. If you're having an event, they are bound to run out. However, given the benefit of the doubt, someone may tend to do it before the event. I'm just saying, if you're open, be ready.Overall: 3.75. (We can't select partial stars). Not too bad and I'd like to visit again.

The food, ambiance and great service from manager (Ms. Zana??) at this establishment was fantastic. Our party of two dined there on Sunday around 730pm, not busy which was exactly what we were looking for - we were able to sit comfortably, watch the game and eat. The food was great - served hot and good flavor. Delicious. Would definitely come back to experience the music and entertainment. Thanks!

We only came for one drink but ended up staying several hours. This is a great spot to watch live music. They were clearly understaffed, for quite some time, while we were there but Jemilla M. took action, like a boss and made sure everyone was taken care of. I can't speak about the food but I'd definitely go back for the vibe.

Let the record show that I love Black businesses. I love supporting them and I am always proud when the establishment screams luxury! Georgia Street takes me back to movies like Love Jones with a really cute vibe that makes you want to fall in love from across the room....I digress.The service is great, and it's so fun and energetic. There was a live band which (live music always wins). I made a reservation and everyone was so accommodating. The food was very fresh (I burnt my tongue, the fish was fresh fresh) and delicious. So excited about the future of this place because they have a great formula

This is my second time visiting Georgia Street Rhythm and Blues. I absolutely love R&B and the music was great. The DJ played all the old school cuts. The vibe is great. For the food, I always have the catfish and it is so good. I love this place. Every time I come to Indianapolis I always check this spot out.

Amazing food, drinks and entertainment. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The vibe was chill and welcoming. We will definitely go back!

I've gone here twice! The first time was in the evening for a live performance! The food was really good and did not take long! Having a live performance was cool to enjoy while eating! The 2nd time I went was for Mother's Day brunch! They weren't as prepared as I believe they thought they would be! The food was okay. Came out cold. And took hours to get it! Our server made up for it! She was super sweet and genuine! She was very helpful in getting us through the day! Between both days the vibe was good and music was great! That was a distraction so we still had a good time!
