There is always a line here and there's a reason for that. It's good and it's wholesome. I don't feel nearly as guilty eating as Pizza Hut or Taco Bell. My guilty pleasures here are Bosco sticks. They're kind of amazing so just try it. When I want to be healthy I get the Greek salad. On other days, I get their crispy chicken sandwich or chicken strips or cheese fries and bosco sticks. You won't regret going here and it come with the additional convenience of being in the middle of campus!

Although the location of George's Cafe on Cherry Street in downtown Terre Haute I hear is closing on June 17, 2016 of this month, you can still have the great hummus, gyros and salads you are use to getting at the Commons inside the Hulman Memorial Student Union on the campus of ISU. This location is already open and although I am not certain, it appears to have been around for awhile. They serve breakfast too with everything from bacon to eggs to biscuits and gravy. Lunch can be as simple as a grilled ham and cheese or chicken fingers to fresh hummus and a Greek salad. There are lots of options if you interested in either their American offerings or their Middle Eastern flavors. Always fresh, delivered with a friendly smile, always a family feel. The prices also seem very reasonable, if not borderline cheap. I have been to George's on Cherry on occasion over the years when I am in Terre Haute. I like the idea of supporting the local family run business. I am glad to know that despite many years of great service and delicious food to the Terre Haute community from their Cherry Street location, all is not lost in their closing. I can still get their good offerings at George's Cafe on the campus of ISU.

Thank God for George and his food! When I was attending ISU, George's was a much-needed reprieve from the standard fast food places in the Commons. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I was never disappointed. Be warned: it's popular enough that you better set aside some extra time for the lines you're sure to experience during the school year.Breakfast options consist of eggs, bacon, sausage, hasbrowns, biscuits and gravy, and breakfast sandwiches. All of these stand head-and-shoulders above what Burger King has to offer. Lunch and dinner offerings consist of a nice mix of American staples and Mediterranean dishes. My favorite is Christina's Plate: hummus, falafel, pita bread, and a salad. There are times when I still dream about that falafel and hummus, that's how good it is. And then there's the service. The man himself, George Issa, is just as much a part of the experience as the food. Him and his family are attentive, helpful, and just plain fun. George himself has an incredible memory and will often know what a regular customer ordered by the time they get to the register. I'm sure he'd still remember my order two years later. If you're on campus or in downtown, do yourself a favor and check out George's.

This place is terrible. It is located in the ISU food court and the owner is extremely rude. You are charged a fee to use a credit card and you have to pay extra for hot sauce. The staff is unfriendly and it is just a terrible addition to the food court.

My wife and I like to partake in the variety of food George's Cafe has to offer. We haven't been in quite awhile mainly because they are closed when we could patronize. We plan to go soon. It's definitely a mainstay at I. S. U. for those who like to go to the food court area. It's always busy.

I had George;s breakfast nearly every morning for all four years at ISU. I have no idea how or why but his biscuits and gravy are the greatest thing to ever happen to breakfast. George will eventually learn your order and you will be able to shovel this gooey perfection into your mouth without having to share a word. The line can get long but it is for a good reason. If George ever decides to open a franchise anywhere else on the planet my breakfast concerns will be solved for the rest of my life.

Tasty Greek option on ISU campus. Had the hummus and gyros. All quite good, although a little light on the gyros meat. It's a favorite on campus and there is always a line. Nice to see a local business do well.
