Extremely disappointed!Overpriced for what the facility offers and the shape that it is in .There's been some upgrades since the last owner but not much . Upon entry the first thing that really grabs your attention is the worn out dirty carpet in the foyer AND sanctuary .Grooms room is extremely small with some updated furniture same for the bridal suite. There is a pungent musty odor throughout the building. There is also no sound system , you are expected to provide that yourself. After reading the owners backstory where she states that she felt it her mission to make a brides experience lovely yet affordable-- she is definitely not up for negotiation on affordability at all.We tried talking to her about omitting certain items and doing some of the manual labor ourselves in order to offset the overpriced cost for the facility and was She absolutely not budging on cost. Her response was "that's not how we do things around here ".They advertise that there is a banquet tent however they no longer offer the tent service for your reception you must now purchase/rent your own which can cost up to an additional thousand dollars and you must provide your own insurance (another cost of $100+) on top of the rental for the church. They have labor charge of $500 which is setting up tables and chairs. Again... We asked if we could do the manual labor ourselves or other ways we could offset the price we were always met with a snarky attitude followed by the answer NO .Makes me wonder if her backstory is even authentic! Also, I am surprised at any 4 star reviews. Makes me wonder if they're her friends and family- I can not see as to why they would have rated 4 stars otherwise.

The chapel itself is darling. Many original features, to include beautiful stained glass, lend itself nicely to photos. And the owner responded quickly when we had a concern on the wedding day. However, we experienced several issues you may want to consider before booking here: - The bridal suite has many thoughtful touches, but is simply not adequately lighted. Applying make-up was a challenge, especially when the sun slipped behind the clouds. If you rent here, I would recommend bringing a couple of lighted make-up mirrors.- The groom's area is REALLY tight.- The grounds are lovely, but on-site parking is virtually non-existent. Our guests had to park on the street and many wound up walking quite a long way.- The lack of a sound system made hearing the ceremony difficult for people in the back of the chapel.- The pianist recommended by the chapel owner did not know the traditional bridal songs. She was stumbling through them, at best, at the rehearsal and barely got through them for the ceremony. The songs she knew she played beautifully, but why she was a) recommended, and b) did not practice the most important songs beforehand, is a mystery. Additionally, it was obvious the piano was far overdue for a tuning. As a family of musicians, this combination was both painful for us to listen to and worrisome. Several of us went to sleep the night before the wedding concerned about the music.- This did not wind up happening, thank goodness, but I still feel it prudent to mention an incident that happened several weeks before the wedding:. My daughter is a US Marine stationed out of state. Because of Covid the Government had issued an indefinite travel ban for all military personnel. It was looking doubtful that the ban would be lifted in time for her to come home for her wedding. With my throat in my heart I called the chapel owner, Morgan, and asked what the cutoff date was, given the extraordinary circumstances, in order to get our deposit back. Virtually every other wedding vendor I had heard of was refunding deposits for Covid-related cancellations. I explained to her that we were hoping to use that money to help us travel to her if they had to do a courthouse wedding closer to where she is stationed. She very nicely explained that she would not issue a refund, the groom had signed a contract and therefore she did not have a legal obligation to return the money. I was floored- Not only were these circumstances far beyond anyone's control, we're talking about an active duty US Service Member. I understand this is a business, but....... WOW!! Thankfully, my daughter's leave was approved in the 11th hour and they had a beautiful wedding back home in Indiana despite the aforementioned issues. But I thought it prudent to mention this, as I believe it may weigh in on other potential bride's, groom's, and their families decision to use this wedding venue.

My husband and I used this venue for our wedding. They already have it beautifully decorated with gorgeous silk flowers (white), so very little additional decor was needed. They provided as much or as little assistance as you wanted and the light shining through the stained glass windows was just beautiful! Would highly recommend using this facility!

I like to think I'm a positive person so let me start out by saying this is a lovely church that allows you to use candles. So many venues these days are scared of fires for obvious reasons so they don't allow them. But that being said the last thing I asked Trina about was the A/C because I roasted during my own wedding service due to the church having no A/C and I refused to roast during this one. So after being reassured that they had their equipment regularly serviced and it was in tip top working order the bride to be' s mother put down a deposit. The day of the wedding arrived and we were the second ceremony in the day. It was over 80 degrees and my son, the groom, and his groomsmen had sweat dripping from their faces and we worried our pregnant bridesmaid would pass out since the sun poured through the windows right onto them. All our photos were taken outside in the side yard - thankfully. So all in all I think our bride was happy. My advice - be the first ceremony for the day or don't book at all. I have other children getting married and the limited space for our guests was also an issue. You think 150 seats is plenty until you start making the lists from both sides and you have to think of who not to invite

My wedding is in a month. We booked it in February, so 8 months ahead. Yesterday found out that they double booked and there will be another wedding for the full day. They offered outside space but I turned it down since the place will already be full with another wedding. They also offered to help find other options but I can't trust them now. They did say we will get a full refund but still this is super disappointing and now I have to rush to find somewhere else for the ceremony. Was really looking forward marrying my best friend here. Do better.

I am not one to write reviews - EVER. But we were so blown away by Trina and how our wedding day turned out that I am not going to not write a review!! If you have one year or one day to plan your wedding, this is the place to do it! Trina has put her heart and soul into this chapel and it shows. She was there every step of the way to make sure our day turned out exactly how we wanted, offering helpful advice when we needed it - but never once did we feel pressured or like she was overstepping any boundaries. She made this process smooth and easy. We didn't know what we were going to do for a reception, so she walked us down the street to Carnegie's and stayed there with us since she knew them (Carnegie's private room is an AMAZING place for a reception). The chapel is in BEAUTIFUL downtown, historic Greenfield, IN. Trina has this wonderful energy about her and has a great sense of humor. I am so glad we had someone like her to help us through everything since we planned it ourselves and had no idea what we were doing. She was available to talk on the phone whenever I had questions for her. Her prices are unbeatable for what you are getting. Included in most of her wedding packages are a list of reputable people she knows for music, officiants, etc - super helpful. I would do it all over again at The Garden Chapel :)
