I love me some hibachi and fujiyama's has never did me wrong. That's my go-to happy place. Great service always and very attentive to my needs every time I dine in. I decided to sit on the restaurant/bar side over the hibachi grill side this time and I'm glad I did. The Lakers game was on for my viewing pleasure. I ordered the shogun special, steak was just right and chicken wad delicious. I got double fried rice and the soup and salad is always good. I love that dressing on the salad. Everything was good. I left with a full belly and ready to go to sleep. The decor is really nice there too. Very family friendly and handicap accessible for those with such needs. I dined in with family and everyone enjoyed themselves. I'll be back for sure, because it's one of my happy places to eat.

The food was good but we waited 50 minutes past when our reservation was. I am a server and usually more patient, but this was absolutely ridiculous and threw a wrench into our Valentine's dinner experience. The guy running the host stand was also rude. He got snippy with us for asking when we were getting sat when it was 30 min past the reservation time. He claimed he was just seating the 7 o'clock reservations at 7:30! We still waited another 20 minutes. Overbooking to this degree on top of the attitude we received on Valentine's Day was just unacceptable, do better.

Food was very delicious! Our server was very kind and had a great personality! Our cook was super chill! I know most people go for the "show" but honestly I enjoyed that our cook wasn't quite doing all of those things. Sometimes the noise and tricks aren't always needed! I really like hot tea and their hot green tea was really good! I just added lemon! We went because my brother got all A's and won his basketball game! So I thought it was super cool that they were able to still do something for him outside of the typical celebration dinners.

Stopped in for a late dinner, they have hibachi tables but we decided to sit at the tables on the other side of the restaurant. Our server Charles was so friendly and took great care of us the entire time we were there. Even though we didn't sit at the hibachi tables, we went with the hibachi entrees, I had the Hibachi steak and my boyfriend had the Shogun special, they both come with soup and salad. I am familiar with the ginger dressing on the salad, this seemed to have yum yum sauce and it made the salad heavy. We also had the crab ragoons that came with a spicy dipping sauce. Our food was pretty good but I felt like I kept eating overly chewy pieces of steak that wouldn't break down.We are not usually in the area but if you are and looking to have hibachi, Fujiyama is worth the try!

A group of about 10 of us met at Fujiyama to enjoy some very delicious Japanese fare and cocktails on a Thursday evening. Conveniently located just off of 465 and Emerson, this location is easy to access and offers complementary parking in its lot. Our group made seating arrangements in advance, so the staff was readily prepared for our arrival. Our orders were taken promptly, but dinner became a bit complicated as food was served at various times so that some people received their appetizers and dinners at the same time while others were left waiting with no food. Our waters and cocktails were also left empty for quite some time. They would have had a substantially higher tab from our table had the server returned to ask if we wanted more adult beverages as ours sat empty. With the bit of snafu in service, I do have to say that our appetizers, entrées, and cocktails were absolutely delicious. One can tell that the food is made with craft and care as fresh ingredients were concocted to be just lovely Japanese dishes. Their sake and cocktail collections are on point! We found it a little odd that they offer such an abundant alcohol selection, but the server was not able to tell us what house sake was available. (She just pointed at the bar from across the room.) Overall, I would give them another chance because the food and drinks were so tasty. Just be prepared for maybe not the most punctual service.

Hibachi is my favorite type of food and Fujiyama is the best in Indy! We come here every Christmas Eve with family and it has made for such a memorable experience! The drinks are phenomenal, the chefs are fun, and the food is AMAZING! My husband LOVES the sushi here. We look forward to eating at Fujiyama every year!

Celebrating family birthdays, we reserved our table for 5:30p on a Saturday evening. By 6pm all the hibachi tables were full! A popular place on the Southside.I love their food and this visit didn't disappoint. Service was quick-- almost too quick. We felt a little rushed. Our chef got started before drinks were served! While our chef wasn't the entertainer that we've had before, the food was well prepared. We enjoyed meeting the party that joined our table. And there was so much food! Carryout containers to the rescue. The only negative this place in incredibly loud. I will return though cause I like the decor and the menu.

My family went here for my Granny's 74th birthday and had a GREAT experience! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The food is ALWAYS amazing. We got three sushi rolls, vegetable tempura and crab rangoons (definitely a new fav.) for the starters and Hibachi for dinner. Everything was perfect. We made a reservation, which got us at a table fairly quickly. They always ask if you are celebrating anything. For birthdays, they make a cute pineapple wedge with a candle and sparkler for the birthday girl/boy! We all sang Happy Birthday, then the chef had my Granny do the fire! This is definitely a birthday the my Granny and the rest of us will always remember! This place is highly recommended!!!!

Such a delightful experience! My family went here to celebrate my sis' and Uncle's bday and we had such a fun time! The hibachi chefs are not only masters of their craft but also incredibly entertaining! Our chef, (Sergio), was so vibrant and friendly! The food was super flavorful and exceeded all expectations! We will definitely be coming back!

I booked a reservation on Wednesday February 12th for a Saturday dinner at 7:00 PM. We get there and the hostess handed us a beeper and said it would be 30-40 minutes. I asked her, "why did we even make a reservation?". She said I am sorry and talked to the next person. Unfortunately, this is now the norm and not the exception. I am sure the food is good, but the management staff does a terrible job in managing.Lastly, I drove over 1 hour to get to the restaurant feeling good about our reservation. We wasted 2 hours of our time.
