France Park is a park in Logansport. You pay $5 per person to enter the park. We came for the day to view the waterfall and swim in the quarry. The roads are a little confusing if some of them are one way or not. The waterfall area is quiet and pretty. They had some picnic tables. There was a staircase to view it closer and the stairs were a little sketchy. The beach area was pretty wide and we found space. They have a little snack area and a dive center. They also have an inflatable obstacle course for purchase. The restrooms were messy and smelled. The beach was clean and they had trash cans. The quarry water was clear and the water was nice. They have primitive camp sites and electrical sites. We saw that most of the electrical sites seem to have full time residents there. Overall it's a great spot to check out and relax at.

My boyfriend, dog, and I stayed at France Park for two nights and had a great time. We rented the cabin (there's only one on site) and wanted to make a review since it's hard to find info on it. The cabin is tucked away and was difficult to find due to the staff not giving us a map or directions but we found it just after driving the whole park and deciding to go back for directions. The cabin is primitive and you have to bring your own bed clothes, pillows, etc. no running water, electric, or heating/cooling but there is an electrical outlet a little ways from the cabin. You'd need an extension cord to reach the cabin though. Picnic table and fire ring on site. They didn't give us any hassle with bringing our dog which we declared when making the reservation. The cabin is very shaded and I was not worried about my dog over heating. There's also a store on site with basic supplies and you can also buy firewood on site. There were vault toilets right by the cabin but they were intolerable...strong odor, wet floors, you get it...so we would head up to the bath house for the rest rooms. Little bit of a walk so we'd drive up. Those were clean and the showers were free. France Park had a lot of fun things to do including various fishing areas (one being just down the hill from the cabin), a swimming/beach area with an obstacle course on the water, and the coolest disc golf course I've ever seen (we brought our own discs. I didn't check to see if you could rent or buy on site). The course goes through the woods and was very challenging for a beginner like myself but loved the experience. The location is also fairly close to a tubing place called Riverside Rentals and we really enjoyed that river float. Also not too bad of a drive to town if needing supplies. I wish we would have taken more photos but was too consumed in being present and enjoying disconnecting. Overall, the only negative was the vault toilets but we'll definitely be back to enjoy this location. What a gem!

Great park for families. The lake has inflatables for kids to go through and jump off of. Mini golf and basketball hoops. The sites for camping are wide and gives a good amount of space between your site and the next. The lake (an old rock quarry) is beautiful and clear water. I give it a 4 star because if you travel with a dog like I do, you can't get them into the water due to limited shoreline access points.

My husband and I are obsessed with France Park!! We take day trips there every year to hike and relax. They have the most beautiful quarry with great swimming and awesome trails. It's like a beautiful hidden gem that doesn't even seem like Indiana. Highly recommend a visit.

Great park with some breathtaking views and spacious campsites. The only downside I experienced was the overall cleanliness of the park. While there is a bit of this to be expected at any park, the restrooms and facilities were unkempt. This being said- the quarry and waterfall are gorgeous. If facilities were kept up, this stay would have been perfect. Will plan on coming back for sure!

The posted hours on here are incorrect. They have the front gate locked and refused to let me in despite it being 4 pm, an hour and a half before sundown. I only wanted to see the waterfall to take a picture and then leave. I would be in and out in under a half hour. The staff member was rude and refused to let me in and was snarky about it. They said the park closes at dusk, but there is plenty of time for me to be in and out before then.If you want to go to this park, head over at least 3 or 4 hours before sundown. Otherwise, you're at the mercy of someone some lay person playing on their phone in the morning entrance shack, who will close early just so they collect a paycheck playing on their phone while not having to process any customers.
