Foyt Wine Vault

We came to Foyt for a conference and they did an amazing job hosting.Food and alcohol was tasty and plentiful. The wine room is nicely appointed with lots of Indy 500 merch and museum worthy items.

Other sites say a must do when visiting the area. I'm sure it's nice but it is not open to the public.. EVER.We went in while visiting Indy and we were rudely told this is a country club environment only for members. We were not welcome. No apology just told we were not allowed to stay. Not even allowed to look at memorabilia. The open sign was lit up in entrance & unless we missed it did not see a sign on door stating members only. Guess not many members as place was completely empty except person working.

A friend and I made a reservation for a "fast six tasting". They had already set up a spot at the bar and had iced waters waiting, which was a nice touch. We didn't really know what to expect, but you essentially choose sixes wines each from their list. Unfortunately, they were out of 2/3rds of red wines. They had 12 wines left, so each of us took six, deciding we would share and try everything they had to offer. We noticed that any of the sweet offerings were from Oliver winery, and they confirmed they don't have sweet wines at Foyt. After trying them all slowly with a charcuterie board and conversation, over a period of 90 minutes, there were only 2 wines that I liked, and only 1 of them that I would ever order a glass of. This experience was fine, and the place is nice, but considering it is a tasting, I expected to learn about the wines. No information was shared with us when we made our selections.Lastly, we noticed there were two other groups at the bar, each of them with a different tasting set ups. They had large glasses in a row with all their options in front of them, but we were given a mini glass that was refilled when we made new decisions. I'm not sure what the difference was.

If you love wine and Indycar, then you will love this place. There's a great selection of wine and other spirits. A small food menu is available too. A great spot for meeting up with friends or for date night.

I came here to support a friend playing piano, and it also turned out to be the first hosted Ladies Night! The third Thursday of each month, they plan to host a Ladies Night with new appetizers and cocktails. They ended up doing a raffle at the end for a gift card for everyone who came out. The ambience here was very cozy and we really enjoyed the piano music and drinking wine with our friends. All of us loved our wine, from flights to glasses. We were also a fan of the peppermint white russian.. you MUST try it after you had your wine fix. The Tour Charcuterie board is $30, was surprised it didn't come with crackers but our table enjoyed. My favorite was the pimento cheese dip which is served with fresh bread and veggies. The bread is crispy, soft in the middle - we also got a separate bread basket which comes with that tasty bread and baguette toast, and three small spreads (honey butter, mustard, beer cheese). The garlic parmesean fries were a hit. Lastly, the BBQ pizza was just okay.There was a backup in the kitchen so it took a little bit longer to get our food, but management acknowledged this and said they are still working out some kinks (not sure if it had to do with the turnout or the new menu). It also took an unusually long time to get our check and to pay, one waitress didn't seem thrilled our party of 6 wasn't on 1 check and never came back. One different employee was walking around with a pad to all tables and checking everyone out, so obviously this took some time. Since we weren't in a rush, we were patient and didn't mind. The manager was walking around and talking to each table, making sure everyone got a raffle which helped with the wait.I look forward to coming back and know they are looking to improve the few things stated above. I love the upscale but casual atmosphere at Foyt's Wine Vault with soft lighting, cozy but modern surroundings, nice piped or live music, laid back atmosphere, quiet setting and even romantic, if wanted. There is a nice size bar (serving food) to cozy up to with tables or comfy couches and a private room. Great cocktails, wine list and they offer local craft brews and hard liquor. Terrific wine selection and prices for upcoming gifts. The friendly servers and bartenders are very knowledgeable about their wines so don't hestitate to ask questions. Enjoy a glass of award winning wines from Napa and Sonoma while taking in the historic racing memorabilia or watching a sporting event.Foyt's Wine Vault, opened in 2015, is located on Main Street in historic downtown Speedway with ample street parking and the facility is handicapped accessible. 10 minutes from downtown Indy and just a few blocks from the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS). Depending on the night or week, it may be just a few patrons or many. They have several events throughout the various months. Yes, it is a hot spot during race season with A.J.'s name attached but don't let that keep you away. It is also a terrific location for group or private events (max 200 people) and Foyt's can cater or outside catering is allowed!Glasses of wine range from $5-$10 with flights (1 oz. pour) for $10. The menu consists of a limited selection of Appetizers (bacon wrapped jalapenos, hummus, chips and salsa), Salads (house or Caesar), Sandwiches (ham & cheese, Italian or Cuban Sando, or BLT, $11-$13) and Charcuterie ($23.99) and Cheese Boards ($18.99). The Charcuterie board includes three seasonal meats and your choice of three Tulip Tree Creamery cheeses (Haymaids. Trillium, Beer Cheese, Larkspur, Nettle, Snap Dragon or Fromaige Fras). Let's not forget dessert from 'Best Chocolate in Town' truffles (dark, lemon, cappuccino, hazelnut, amaretto for $3.25 each). You can even indulge in Foyt Wines and truffle pairings ($21).Whether you're searching for a fun evening out maybe playing shuffle board, participating in a bridal shower, a rehearsal dinner, a board meeting or hosting a private event for your group, you'll see why this unique wine bar has become a staple for the locals and tourists.

Lovely, classy spot on the west sideCame with a group on a weekday night and it was fairly quiet. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the racing displays are rather interesting. We enjoyed wine and a cheese plate. The cheese plate had a great variety of quality cheeses. The service was friendly and prompt. Definitely recommend coming here for a nicwe happy hour, especially if you have a race fan in your group!

I love this place! We don't go to Indy without making at least one trip to the Foyt Wine Vault. We love the wine, the atmosphere and the general vibe there. This trip we got very lucky and were treated to live music by Rich Confer. It was such a fun time. The Vault always adds to the awesome overall Indy 500 experience. We are already looking forward to race week next year and supporting our fellow Houstonians.

My daughter had her wedding reception at Foyt Wine Vault in Speedway on 9/30/23. We were there on its opening night back in May 2016 and being the race fans that we are, it was a no-brainer to rent this cozy and charming place. The space was perfect and Katherine (Katie) was THE BEST! From the initial planning to the final weekend she was always available to us. After several meetings and many text messages, she helped us pull off a very memorable event. She handled all the catered food from selection to presentation. When it came to our decorating ideas she was so accommodating and helpful. If you need a rental space for your special event you should consider renting the Foyt Wine Vault. Katie will make sure you have a wonderful time!

Terrible service!!!! I went to the Foyt Wine Vault today with some friends. We were prepared to spend a couple hours and several bottles of wine catching up. The bartender was incredibly rude and insulted one of my friends multiple times. We walked out without making a purchase due to the horrible treatment.
