The pool itself is wonderful. Snack bar was out of a lot of things but it was their first week and not a huge deal--it truly is such a great snack bar to have! I do think some TLC for the women's bathrooms would be a great investment (I get it's a public pool).

In late July 2022, a friend invited my son and me to Forest Park Aquatic Center with her and her two children during the discounted and age-restricted Tiny Tots time. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9-11, children under the age of 5 get in at a discounted rate, and you don't have to worry about competing with all the bigger kids. My son was 18 months at the time of our visit. The children's area with splash pad and zero-entry water pool is the perfect fun, and safe environment, for little ones. It was evident by the MANY foods and drink-filled red wagons that many of the families were there to stay well past 11 o-clock times! I wish we had learned about Tiny Tots sooner! It will be our go-to activity on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Summer 2023!!

This pool and facility are very nice. The pools are clean and well kept. The staff are curtious. Our family has had a membership several years, but I'm still not sure it's worth it for the money. My only complaint is that the chairs and lounge chairs around the pool are not well kept. There are many broken chairs that have the potential to pinch your butt if you sit in them. There needs to be some investment in replacing all those broken and cracked chairs, especially on those busy hot days when people need a place to sit!

It's great to have such an awesome park close by but a bonus that it has a public pool as well. Pros: great splash pad and tot pool. Lots of diving boards, rock climbing wall, and slide Cons: while the facility itself seems fairly clean, the equipment (especially the chairs) aren't well taken care of. We were hard pressed to find somewhere to sit that wasn't broken. I also scoured the website for general rules concerning coolers, flotation devices etc and couldn't find any. So heads up, no coolers (even if it's just a roller filled with your towels etc)Overall: w/out a pool membership this is a good place to go on a hot day however, we'll be looking elsewhere for a summer membership to go regularly.

What a find! I put "Splash Park" in Yelp and this is what came up and what a brilliant find it is. This type of water facility is rare. Official competition height diving boards? Official Olympic height diving platforms?? A huge common pool (think Olympic sized X 2) with lap lanes??? A very large kiddie pool with fountains and slide???? A neat little snack bar????? And a pretty large splash park?????? Yup, all of that and a bag of chips. No really they do sell chips. The staff is friendly and kind in a laid back, but still attentive sort of way. The facilities are immaculate even though they are noticeably not new. But there is something comfortable about a place that looks like it was built with quality and built to last. Snacks are fine. Hot dogs, nachos, ice cream, "penny" candy (now and laters, laffy taffy's, etc.) You get all of this for five bucks. Worth every penny on such an oppressively hot day.

I went with my son and mother to swim during one of the beastly hot summer days this year and it was worth the $5 I paid to get in. The kids' pool is pretty big and has a small slide and rainfall area. There's a huge pool for all ages with a few swim lanes and a water slide. There's a also a rock climbing wall next to the water. They have a large splash pad behind the the kids pool that seemed like fun. One thing that surprised me is they have diving boards! I worked in insurance for a while so I know how costly those things are to insure in public areas - I am so surprised they still have them up! Lots of kids were having a great time throwing themselves off the platforms. They do "adult swim" (I'm guessing here) once an hour...? It brought me back to the 80s - my mom brought my brother and I to a public pool and oh how we hated the adult swim time because we'd have to sit on the edge of the pool and wait through the agonizing 15 minutes. I was happy to jump right in this time and take advantage of the kid free pool. If only spandau ballet or simply red was playing, it would have been perfect.

I have been coming to Forest Park pool for 10 years, however today I was very disappointed. There was a large group of teenagers at the pool - most (60%) were not there to swim. While I understand that they have every right be there, they were very inconsiderate. I realize that they are juveniles, they showed no consideration for other people. Since there are a lot of children at this pool it was concerning to see this type of behavior. Maybe they didn't understand that playing vulgar music (that drowned out the pool's PA system), football, and roughhousing are better suited to the park area. Hopefully the staff can monitor this type of situation and prevent it in the future.

This pool is great! I went to the Monon Center first and everything had to keep stopping whenever a child had to be saved, but here things just keep rollin if someone needs to be saved. There is no wait to get inside the pool, like a maximum of 5 minutes this pool is amazing!
